Well the PCM is back and its in. My thoughts are, why did I wait this long to tune it!, Ive only taken it for a short drive and im in love!.

Next mod will be a OTRCAI. I might take it to one of the local dyno places and see what numbers it does soon.

I could not recommend Oztrack any more highly.

Cheers
Ben

What about the tune with the auto, how did that go?

Spoke to Leigh Holman @ SVS the other day - very helpful and extremely nice fellow.

Booked my VE SS in for a Tune - its got HM headers, full 2.5 Perry exhaust and CAI - will be interested to see how she tunes... Hoping for a fairly decent figure
Jodie is CLEARLY the best in the whole world

No I didnt unfortunatly Paul. To be truthful I couldn't care if it only made 10 kw more as its road manners have improved no end!.

I hope the dyno day goes ahead so I can get it on the rollers!

Cheers

Yeah Steve from OzTrack is a f*cking champ. Cody was right at that stage, where I had ran 13.4 @ 105mph with a f*cked gearbox. I have had an OzTrack tune in my car for ages, cannot fault it.

I have now got a Craigs Automatics strengthened 4L65E ($4000ish, worth every cent) and a 3600rpm stall with 3.9 diff gears and have managed to run a 13.2 @ 107MPH with a 2.5 60 foot time. The highest MPH I have run is 108 on a slower 13.4 pass.

Obviously if that 60 foot time came down to 2 seconds or lower, there isn't a reason I couldn't run a 12. This was achieved on 18" tyres so traction is a bit of an issue on take off with the histall and short diff gears.

If you were to be doing heads and cam, etc I would reccomend getting a local NQ tuner to play with that. I have a set of 243 heads, 232/ 242 custom ground comp cam and wanting to run a 100shot from a Zex system. Was originally going to get Steve to do the tune but I want it to be more accurate and get as much from it as I can (because I am hoping to run close to 130mph) and have decided I'll be going to KTMR, who clearly boast the quickest LS1 in NQ.

Jason.

Hi all,
I have my avalanche wagon going in monday to SVS, here cairns for a LS1 edit. But, my tune has to be done on the road cause it's AWD.
I have HSV headers, hiflow 3.5" cats, sureflo 3.5" loud exhaust and a K&N pod fliter with pipe running from the front for more cold air. Iam not chasing big hp numbers, just want it a little quicker.

thanks Ganzer

thanks she's a daily driver to and from work everyday, and really i aint that concerned about economy so long as it has manners, i had an exhaust put on her before we moved here from brisbane but the copos up here have already started on me about it so next port of call is a slighty quieter note.

What brand and size of exhaust did you put on? Cat-back, or headers and cats as well? I have a redback cat-back on mine and it is pretty quite anywhere below 2K... I'll give it some headers and cats (which aren't far away) and that will all change however!

What do people prefer - MAF or MAFless? ... LOL, que endless discussion! ... I mean all I'm wanting is just a tune and that's it! Got a HSV intake and will have an exhaust, but don't want an OTR. Has anyone had both and can say how they both compare on the road, as well as long term reliability of the tune? I'm just not sure whether those few extra killer wasps are gonna be noticable on the road.

HP-F and GM Motorsports also sell custom mail order tunes just like Oztrack... at least at a responable price unlike many others!

they mate the exhaust is actually one that i put together myself. twin 2.5 inch all the way with standard hsv cats and headers. although i have a feeling the only 2 hotdogs may have something to do with the complaints

LOL!!! laugh.gif what complaints ... sorry... WHAT COMPLAINTS?!

Here I am thinking I will still be to loud (only care about the legalities) having 2 resonators piped into my cat pipes as well as the exsisting 2 mufflers and huge rear can! That's awesome! What sort of headers?
