a few hours......a 10 second pass would make me happy.lol

I want to get up to 30 but 5 - 10 as a start is more realistic.

or you could run it on methanol or give it a healthy dose of N02 to keep the intake temps down over the qtr.

methanol is too much work in keeping water out of the engine as methanol absorbs water. The only way to prevent this is to run 20% castor or synthetic oil wich stuffs up the carby. To prevent the oil gumming up the carb a 10% hit of nitro methane burns the extra oil but that would probably mean BOOOM!!!

well, this is where you have to sit down and work out exactly what you want with the car and what you are prepared to do with it long term. If it is a dedicated drag car, then i cant see why you cannot run methanol, but if you want it as a semi-daily driver, then some sort of cooling will be required if you want to run over say, 10psi. water injection, air to air, water to air, there are quite a few ways to go about it, all with their pros and cons.

This is going to be a dedicated dragster. Last night I was thinking pretty hard and as long as I don't need carbon face seals for the turbo when running methanol in a draw thru setup then I probably will go the methanol. I've had heaps of experience with methanol and nitro and since I don't have the carbie or fuel pump yet it wont be a majour issue.

I'm going to have a chat with ray ( hall ) and see what he thinks.
