What is it with 20's..... its the new IT thing. I honestly think you should leave the stockers on there as they would look good with the car lowered or go for some dished 18's to toughen it up. In my opinion when i see a car with 20's or bigger it just makes the car look like those bloody micro machines with huge wheels and a tiny body.

Any event haven't seen your clubby out in ages Jason, hows all the work going?

Well ive decided to keep my standard 19's for less attention as so far i have not been pulled up once and im liking it. I wouldnt say a late model commodore has a "tiny" body. 20's fill the guards....its that simple. Dished 18's is alot more common on a commodores around town then 20's, not to mention 18's look tiny on a late model commodores. And why would i sell my standard 19's to put 18's on it? But everyone has there own opinion, like my opinion is that when i see cars with brand stickers all over it and neons i think 'fast and the furious' identity crisis

I'm actually trying to sell it in order to free up some money for other things mate, maybe another car. See what happens. Sold all that gear going back a little while now!

Jason.

Nah, 19's will do me.

My Monaro is about to be withdrawn from daily driver duties, and probably taken off the road altogether for a few months. Needs some work done, my list of plans are -

- 4L65E to replace the buggered 4L60E
- 3500rpm stall convertor
- VZ Monaro bonnet
- lower the front a bit more (prob only about 30mm)
- New boot without spoiler holes
- gold chev badges for grille and boot
- 240/240 at 600 lift cam and double valve springs
- double row timing chain
- 85mm throttle body
- cooler thermostat
- removal of rear resonator once the cam goes in, will be way too loud and that's just how i like it smile.gif

Probably a couple of other things i could do, can't wait til its done but

Make sure you get that 4L65E to handle the power... otherwise with a cam like that, it'll be shagged in no time at all. Plus the extra heat from the stall will make it not like you LOL!

Having said that... I'm jealous as S**T for what you wanna do! biggrin.gif

Hahaha yeah for sure, i don't intend on replacing them often. My mate has the same cam in his VT clubby, sounds very angry at idle and screams after about 3300rpm and made over 300rwkw behind a manual and it makes for a great drive!

Hoping to break into the 11's once all that's done, will post up vids and maybe a trip to townsville as well to show everyone up there how it's done tongue.gif
