hey guys, i have lost my keys to my car... i dont have electronic ignition so can i just got the wreckers and get a new ignition and door locks??? or is there something else i can do?

This is why you always have a spare key cut and kept in a safe place dude.

That approach with the new locks and stuff is a good one, give it a go, or else i have no idea what you could do, at least you can still start it if you have to :lol:

No spare key? Can you contact the person that owned the car before u and ask if they have one still.

should just need new barrels etc , but im sure Simon knows better.

nah nah... i got home and i was just gonna get ready to go out, but my plans were changed and i stayed inside the house.... but i dont remember if i left the keys in the ignition or if i took them inside... been searching EVERYWHERE!! and cannot find them... so i think i may have left them in the car and someone has just came and grabbed them :( i have spare keys, but i if someone has my other key thats a bit of a security issue to me

so you need new locks? supercheap sells new locks.....there not the greatest but they do the job! you can also get 4 door central locking kits as well.....again not the greatest but perfect for a student with student fundage! :P

Besides if someone really wanted to steal it they'd just smash the window and do what slappa said....HOTWIRE!!!!!! :D

ok i am a complete tool!... i have been outside for about an hour and a half moving my car with the jack because the steering lock was on and i wasnt able to steer the car... so yeh we finally got it inside, then i went back out the front to get the tools and the keys were sitting on the fcking driveway!!!! i must have dropped them when i got out of the car and they fell under the car... FFS!

yeh i had quite a few to drink... spare key is at my gf's house, just incase i get locked out of the car, or if she borrows my car etc..

she was asleep, had to start work at 5am this morning... and this thread wasnt about getting the spare key, it was about if someone else stole my keys, what should i do...
