Maybe not exactly the right place for this, but relevant to LS1...
The KTMR vx ss ran a pb of 10.676 @ 125 with a 1.463 60' foot on Saturday night's Wild Bunch feature.
Despite the extra weight of the 6 point cage, mufflers, power steering etc being used, the ss managed consistent 10 sec passes from the 383 cube n/a.

The car runs the 4l60e trans, irs and full interior, power windows and mirrors etc.
Weight is estimated to be very close to 4000lbs... which is about factory weight.
Plans are to run drag radials at the next meet in an effort to work more towards a 'street' combo.
The ss is still suffering from some shifting issues that a lack of track time has exposed; but is expected to improve once we get a handle on the timing parameters for the 4l60e.

This car is a fully northern built combo with the engine and diff, the suspension and cage done in shop at KTMR.
Machine work done at Brink's and JB's.
Tuning done by KTMR at JB's on the engine dyno.
Transmission built by Tony from Brink's
Dominator converter supplied by Brink's to suit the combo.
Pacemaker pipes and mufflers by Hi-flow exhausts and intercooling.
Many of the parts for this vehicle supplied by Performance Parts Plus.

Thanks to all who have contributed.
See ya at the next meet!
Mike

Here's a vid of one of the runs.

Sledge hammer anyone!!! Awesome effort. Good to see there are people having a go at the N/A route when chasing fast E/T's. It will be good to see what this can run once the gearbox timing is sorted.

Yeah sorry for the slow response as I don't get much time to get on the forums...
Work commitments has seen slow progress on our shop car... but....

The car is now ready for another assault .. this time with 403cubes and a T400 courtsey of Brinks Performance Transmissions.
We have worked through a few oil system issues that have given some headaches and think we have them sorted.
We have also revised the fuel system including some 83lb injectors and a 92mm throttle body,
The car is "de-signed" to reflect the full weight street car platform we are working from.
We hope to see some improvement on the 10.67 we ran last year despite being a little heavier @3900lbs.
Here are a couple of pix..

We took it out for some passes with a fairly conservative tune up and were very encouraged by running a 10.98 then 10.64 after an aborted 1st pass !... (driver had brain fade and shifted the trans the wrong direction - ie neutral Posted Image )

The car ended up running 10.59 and 128mph in what was a fairly ordinary track and only fair atmospherics.

A big thanks to Tony @ Brinks for building a trans that shifts fast and flawlessly!

So Mike is that a new PB?
If so congrats!
Where would you ultimately like to see this combo running?

Thanks man..
Yeah that's a pb..and seemed to do it pretty easy on a soft combo... so yeah that is encouraging.
I figure it could go a forty in its present set up... of course we try to run faster every pass dont we! Posted Image

Well honestly for the little track time you've had it's a fantastic result. Just need to give some other boys a nudge to build some quick LS series commodores.
On another note, how is big Jeff's 408 clubby coming along? I hear he has gone to a TH400 as well.

Yeah I did the cage as well... but only because it would have taken 4 months to get one made locally at the time as they were all swamped with work. I would probably recommend you talk to JT Aluminium.. Jeff is switched on with that stuff and is pretty reasonably priced.
