hi all, this is my 93 180sx.
bought it in august 07 and have been playing with it since. its been through a few changes since then. aim for it is to be a neat street car that can compete at all types of motorsport

ive never seen that combo before

most run a 3071r or a 3076r (like mine)

got car back all tuned. made 320.1kw with 14psi

would that be 220kw ? if not 125kw from a tune is just crazy. must have running bad before the tune, some decent figures all the same.

went back out to the drags last weekend
couldn't get traction off the line so was running high 13's
but managed to get 111.38mph by end of night but got pinned for not having a harness
so i will be getting one in the next few weeks and some bigger wheels to help with traction

will hopefully have the car resprayed soon.

Sounds good. 111mph is not so bad. Has some potential. You'd see some great times with an ECU & fuel system (injectors) to cope with more boost..... if it hooks up that is. S13 are not the easiest cars to get to hook up, especially with coil overs.... still fun but.

have i missed something... what do you mean you got pinned for not havin harnesses. ive never run with harnesses and i was doin 12.2 @ 120mph though that was over 12 months ago?

looks like a 3037 / 3076 like we were runnin bud. if you wanna know for sure have a look on the garrett id tag on the turbo, should say 3037s 56t on it which is the 3076 turbo

the harness rule has just been brought in this year.

had a look it is a 3076 turbo, my mistake

here are some of the new safety requirements

quicker than 12sec's- require 4 point harness

110mph and faster- require 4 point harness

so that is basicly any tough street car has to run a 4 point harness. dont really encourage ppl to keep it off the street... also kinda takes it away from bein a "street meet".

Faster than 12 is acceptable but 110mph isn't real hard to achieve and I am sure a lot of people don't want to go to the drama of fitting a 4 point harness in their daily driver.

It all comes back to insurance I guess and keeping their insurer happy.... and covering their own ass. Unfortunately everyone wants to sue everyone else for their own stuff ups and it causes pain in the ass things like this. If people took responsibility for their actions instead of blaming everyone else the world would be a better place.

i dunno man, 12 is the new 13 and with the amount of cars with mild mods and et streeters runnin high 12's its just like you said, alot of dickin round just to run down a smooth straight road with a clock on it

Quicker than 12s means 11.99 or faster.... not including 12s.

11sec is fast.
