car is finally going again. had a few issues though after the rewire but got it sorted out.
wiring turned out pretty goo in the end, noe its behind the dash & in conduit.

done a bit of a tidy up of the fuel map, still having trouble getting it to idle right.
finally decided on going a custom high mount manifold & tial 44mm mvr external gate. manifold gets started this week :D
picked up a nismo 2way diff real cheap, just need a set of axles and picked up a set of 17x8&9 work s2r wheels to skid on.
also bought a gtr style grill so the car actually looks complete from the outside :P
looks like i am going to miss the whole sprints & motorkhana's again this year due to work :( but the upside is i get to have a crack at drifting at QR & archerfield in may :dance2: .

not much has been happening due to work but i have this weekend free so i will be finally running the car on satday at the sprints.
spent sunday preping the car & monday night installed new diff & axles. new diff was certainly worth the $$ is alot more chuckable.
the car is pretty much ready for the track day on satdayPosted Image
just have to sort out some paperwork, looking forward to being able to thrash the car legallyPosted Image

been a while since i last posted, a few things have happened since the last post.

finally did a sprint day at the go kart track. car went pretty good on street tires & no tune, ended up with a best time of 48.30 which i was happy with.
car was photographed for qld street car magazine the weekend after, should be in an upcoming issue.
and work on the high mount setup has started. new manifold is looking really good & the gate setup will look sweet when its all finished.
also took the car for a run to airlie beach at easter & went better than i thought it would, only issue now is its got a lot of oil leaks and using/dropping a lot of coolant so it looks like a rebuild is on the cards next year.

so some time early next year i'll do another tear down and fix the motor, do another rewire, more suspension work and get a new tune & hopefully be ready for the first round of the sprints.

been on a bit of a spending spree lately and bought a few new bits.
finally found a full factory aero kit (front bar, skirts & pods) in good condition and it arrived last week also got a HEL oil cooler kit with thermostat from england but they sent the wrong coloured fittings and braid so they won't be here for a few months and also some ETS super lock spacers.
also looking at getting a carbon hatch & bonnet to shed some weight.

been doing some research in regards to steering & suspension mods. so going to mod LCA and look at some new taller ball joints to fix the roll centre to try and bring the LCA back to factory position in regards to their angle.
finally decided on what i am doing with the motor. just going to put on the new head from DC Engines and replace all the seals, put in arp headstuds, fit the new turbo setup and wind boost into it. it should be good enough for 260-280kw. it should be reliable as there are plenty of people running this setup these days with a good tune.
hopefully by the time i come home townsville will hopefully have E85 at the pump.

heres a few pics of the body kit and new turbo setup trial fitted . it should be off to for ceramic coating in the next week.
arp headstuds finally arrived last week, still waiting on the hose for the oil cooler kit.
been looking at prices for braided hose from vpw and its a decent price & cheaper than i can get in townsville. so i'll start going through what i need to do all new oil & water lines for the turbo, fuel system and heater hoses. as i want to try and make the car as reliable as possible.

well time for an update for the new year.
car is still in the shed in pieces and i am not back home for another 2 weeks yet.
but things are getting done in my absence.
exhaust manifold, rear housing and dump are off being ceramic coated and a new motor is on the way :dance2:
i bought a red r racing motor 2nd hand with 1500km on it for a really good price. heres some specs-
rb25 s2 built by red r racing
Mahle forged pistons
spool rods
crank balanced, grub screwed
block decked, honed, acid dipped
block grout filled
nitto oil pump
ross metal jacket balancer
n1 water pump
oil restricters
head to sump oil drain
refreshed head
gtr valve springs
tomei pon cams
r34 neo CAS
r32 gtr rocker covers/timing cover
mines cam cover baffles
hks cam gear
working vct
gates timing belt
so with a decent tune and new turbo setup 300kw should be easy :bb:
also doing r33 rear brake setup too
hoping to have it all ready by the bituman sprint test day.

it will be a busy few weeks but will be worth it
