What would cause the inside half of a rear tyre to wear quicker than the outside half?

On the front or back?? But it could many things, Worn bushes or just get your camber set up properly!! If you have lowered your car that can be a main cause of tyres wearing like that without putting a camber/caster kit in..

yeah go and get an alignment done on your car that should fix up the problems

depends, on an S13 if you low it much because of the way the suspension is you can't adjust it without aftermarket camber arms. mine sits on the 100mm legal limit and has some pretty insane camber on it but yea, crappy tyres is the way I get around it.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll take it in to get new tyres next weekend and see what they say. I wanted a bit of a heads up of what might be wrong incase they tell me I need something I don't.

I had the same problem with my ute.
Had Fulcrum fit one of their camber kits.
