I haven't been up to the exact spot we are setting up, but I think you would be fine.... We are parking up at the workers quarters that are near the strip.

The Springmount Dragracing Association is holding a cruise to the site for all members and interested parties.

Meetup at 8:30 in Cairns DFO Carpark (Hungry Jacks End), For a 9AM Sharp Departure heading for the site of the future Springmount Dragway.

Those interested in catching us at Mareeba on the way through are asked to wait in the Truck Pullover Area on the Atherton side of the Township Just before the 100 Sign as the cruise will not be stopping for the pickup. Alternatively Meet us out the site from 10:30am.

From 10.30 - 10.45 will be time for people to get organised, with a "Walk The Track" starting at 11.am, followed by the sausage sizzle. The SDRA Committee will have a talk during the day explaining where the project is at, and why we now need your support, and will be a chance for people to come ask questions and see the site for themselves.

Come meet the committee, Renew your membership (Or Join up if you are not a member yet), Become a Sponsor or Purchase a Brick to help make this drag strip a reality.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Enclosed Footwear MUST be worn.
BYO Hat, Sunscreen, Chairs

Sausage Sizzle will be onsite with cold drinks on sale. $2 for Sausage, $2 for Drinks.
Raffle tickets will be onsale throughout the day, come along and support the club. All raffles & gate prizes will be drawn on the day at 1.pm

Everybody must be on their BEST behaviour, as we will be entering private property. No Burnouts or Silly Behaviour will be accepted. The cruise will be heading up as a group, with a lead car which is to be kept behind at all times.

Those who want to travel outside the cruise, There will be signs from Walkamin guiding you to the site, but if you are unsure on where to go, please check out our website.
