The gearbox extension housing in my ute is cracked and leaking heaps.
Does anyone know someone in cairns that can weld it , or maybe know someone that has one from a
TS 50 ???

ROD,
the GEARBOX in your ute is out of a TE50.
I got that gearbox from MAL WOOD AUTOMOTIVE.
We fitted it after SMASHING 3RD GEAR SYNCHRO ASSEM. at TOWNSVILLE DRAGS a couple of years ago.
NEV at NB PROP WORKS in SVENDSON ST would be able to weld it for you.
You will have to give him the extension housing only,as he doesnt do anything but the welding.
They do EXCELENT work at a very reasonable rate.
Otherwise RON at PRO-ACTIVE ENGINEERING in STURT ST.
Why did it crack.

I was told it was out of a TS 50 but that doesnt matter.
Dont know why it cracked ...it just did (vertical crackalong a corner just in front of shift)
Doensnt look good to have it done intime for E4 so looks like im out for that
