Seen a few of you guys talking about coming to Palmyra Dragway for a run. So thought I'd post the Dates for the rest of the year. See you guys here soon. Test'n'Tunes are usally held the 2nd Friday of the month. Website is www.palmyradragway.com.au

July 21st Test 'n' Tune (was rained out last Friday)
30th Nostalgia Meeting

August 11th Test 'n' Tune

September 8th Test 'n' Tune
30th Feature Meet <--- Got something that could be interesting, but have to confirm.

October 13th Test 'n' Tune
28th Bracket Meet - Season Finale

November 10th Test 'n' Tune

Hoping to be ready for this Friday night. Then Nostalgia Meeting, 30th Spetember meeting and 28th October. Probably throw in a T'n't here and there aswell.

I'm running a draw-thru carby Turbo 265 Hemi Charger with a best time of 12.55 @104, just trying to keep head gaskets in it.

Yeah, thats it in my avatar. It's on slicks, but it's bacisally a street car that isn't rego'd. I did want to get it on the street and run 11's, but it's not really suitable so going to put it in a lighter shell.

Hi Adammacca, me and a few mates are heading down from T'vill for the meet on the 30th for a look. Is that meet allways big ? should get a few quick times yea ? my mate has been before but I haven't just wondering what you think of the Mackay track and set up? I see you running a charger.... then you'll probly know my mate's (Lucas) charger from t'vll. Me him and a few other mates are heading down.

BLK EVO4, It'll go into a gutted Charger my dad is running 11.0's in with a 360. So i'd expect to drop maybe .5 by changing cars.

Benson93, We only had the one Nostalgia meet so far, but it was pretty big last year and expect it to get bigger. Should be some pretty good times.

Yeah I know Lucus's Charger, very nice. Palmyra is regarded as the best regional track in Australia behind the 3 metro tracks. I haven't been to Townsville in a long time, but heard it's a bit ordinary these days. The track for the Nostalgias should be ok, but not it's best with the amount of normal streetcars running. It'll probably be better than what the track was like at Benaraby when Lucus ran the Charger there.

Is Lucas bringing the Charger down? I hope so. Are you coming down on the Saturday, we are having a function and a cruise that Arvo/night.

yeah.. tell me about it... should never have sold my VK... 318.. manual.. slight front end damage.. sold it for 3 grand!!.. try getting another one of them these days.. never going to happen. but i will keep looking.

Na mate were not taking the charger this time just cruising down for the weekend, yea well be there saturday staying at the shemrock till monday, what are the function plans ?

Meeting at the Aero Club (can send you a map) at around 4.30pm leave at around 5pm for a short cruise, maybe get back around 6pm. Then I spose people can park their cars up and talk and there is a bar there aswell. There will be old Nostalgia videos and stuff playing.

I was looking foward to the Charger coming down. Damn!

Yea would have been good but by the time you hire the truck etc works out big $$$$ so just sitting back and watch the action that weekend, and yea the townsville track is well pretty slack so it'll be good to get to a good looking and look after one and see some of the older strut there stuff should be good

Yes, yes I did. I saw the Charger at Chryslers Cruizin Rocky. Its a very nice car in the flesh. Goes to show what can really be done with a Mopar.
