Hell yeah, plenty of time, due to wet season the next event will most prob be late april, looking at running 4 STADIUM DRIFT feature events from april to sept incl the "STADIUM DRIFT PRO--TOUR" in june (also a practice day)
ALL events will include STADIUM DRIFT SCHOOL----LEVEL 2 & PRO catagories
NOTE our proposed dates are subject to approval by the speedway club so i will confirm once this has been passed by the commitee
The RACELINE crew are looking forward to returning to Cairns, especially with the FULL PRO--SHOW
Cheers
Ian

Thats great news!!,
Im thinking the speedway would be all for it due to the amount of people who came through the gates at the last one.
Ah well good luck and thanks for the heads up on the timeline, cant wait to hit the track again Not so much the tyres haha.

I look forward to the next event. The last one was sensational. Pitty about the wet seasion, that we cant have one sooner.
Im doing a rebuild in March so will iron out some bugs.

Hope to receive the news letter soon get all the info on the event and be more prepared this time round.

Does any one know who can do some fairly cheap tyres? Thinking im going to need a few this next event.

Weather not the best in FNQ late/early year so more than likely won't be anything before then.

Yes there will be practice days but all dates need to pass committee approval first.

There is a couple videos in the QSS Videos section from past events so have a squiz if you have not already seen them.

No issues with a wet track, but being track is inside the Speedway ring you will never get a car in or out. The pits/ring turn to big mud pit after some rain. Even after only the water truck going over the track it's dangerous to go in or out. Adam slid down last time in to the bottom.... lucky it's no so car!

If your looking for cheap tyres maybe try the second hand tyre joint on scott st. I went there before the last event (not that I needed to as I didnt even rub a mill off ha) and I just told them a needed some cheap tyres and I supplied the rims and SNAP it was done. Cost me about 60 and they had enough tred on them for a roadworthy!!
It was for the ae86 though so they are smaller.

For the last drift day I had a pick through the pile of old tyres at Bob Jane. Found a nice pair of yokohamas in the size I wanted, worn but legal tread, for FREE.
Took them to Priens (now Advantage Tyres) at Gordonvale and had them fitted up for $10!

dont forget the "STADIUM DRIFT PRO--TOUR" mid june with up to 15 of the touring PRO--SHOW DRIFTERS appearing

Would love to come to these practice days and send the 180 sideways, haven't had it for a year so the first few times should be rather embarrising lol.

So true, i wish they could like leave us alone in the industrial ares and such...i mean no half minded citizen is gonna walk their baby through our industrial areas at 10pm. and yer if our onlyh practice was to be at these track days we would never get any better due to the time span between events. We need a dorifto land for ourselves.
