nah I like how V8's look with a turbo each side of the block. It's very symetrical

i've seen on a commodore forum a guy with a 3.8 litre ecotec running a supercharger and turbo.. supercharger runs till the turbo spools then switches off and the turbo takes over...

theoretically couldn't you have both providing boost together without any switching and just use an ebc to keep boost under control....... probably need a pretty decent wastegate cos the top end boost would be off the chart

How about the twim engined, quad turbo, twin supercharged bandag bullet?

Can be done, just depends how deep your pocket is..... as the old saying goes..... you ask your mechanic...

"How fast can you make it?"

He will say "How much money do you have?"

There is a few nice turbo 8's goin around, can't beat forced induction :D

yeh cos if u stick a turbo on a v8 it would have that much power it would just be dangerous to drive on the street. But a supercharger is a lot more tame and generally produces a lot less boost thus making it a heaps better option for a street car just imagine the average ammount of boost you get on a 2lt engine and how hard that kicks in now imagine that sort of effect on an engine 3 times the volume you would have traction difficulties in all cogs

u can get superchargers running 8-12psi and they make it from go to whoa. so what about twin turbos running 8-12psi you gonna wait for it to spool first then it would be insane... could drive around off boost most of the time

nothing beats the sound of a chunky v8 except for a chunky v8 running 2 big dirty turbos and 2 big wastegates with screamer pipes

bit ive got nothing at all against a bigblock with a 8/71 or larger sitting ontop

morganv8, twin turbos on a v8 spool almost instantly depending on how big you go but a setup built to only run low boost like that would be far better than a side mount blower thats powerband is from 6000 to 7000

a well setup tt v8 for street use idealy would make boost from 2000-2500rpm untill redline.. and i know alot of v8 guys from minimum of a 2500rpm stally which idealy would have you sitting on full boost from the moment the converter locks up and goes

the only side mount blower i've ever been impressed by are the prochargers that the guys in the states use all the time
