I have everything in my car to run an 8 the only thing that might let me down is having the 3 speed C4 not a powerglide, but can guarantee ya's if nothing goes wrong with my car the first night it hits the strip if it don't run a mid to low 9 i will sell it, I have spent too much on it and all the right combos for it not to do it) :lmao:

Yea it should be a great line up. I am stirring up a few more guys and expect the list to double by August. It should be a great meet.

There is a few guys down south looking at making a long journey up but I'll keep posted on here and the CairnsBurnouts.com website.

Expecting to break it Dion? tongue.gif

That should not be a problem. It won't be a camp ground but no problem with leaving car/trailer til morning if you want to have a few with us all afterwards.

I spoke with him at Ingham and he said he will ring me in three weeks and confirm either way. Craig Waldron also said he is keen to come up from Brisbane but not sure if that is with or without his car.

Cars may be registered or non-registered. Blown, aspirated or turboed. Any fuel (meth, pump, etc) is allowed. No restrictions, no limits! Your car must be presentable however. This does not mean a show car, but not an eye-sore either.

Judge Criteria - 50 points total

* Instant Smoke - 10 points
* Constant Smoke - 10 points
* Driver Control - 20 points
* Vehicle Performance - 10 points
* No points for popping tyres.

Judges for the event will be Peter Crisp (Ingham Xtravaganza), Nudge (ELITE Pro Street Burnouts), and Patrick who is involved with the NQ Nationals event.

The NQ PRO BURNOUTS will commence at 7PM. There is no qualifying, no heats, nothing! Just one skid per entrant to show how tuff your car is! All entrants will be allocated a vehicle number and will be the order you appear on the pad (in ascending order). Entrants are judged on the first 90 seconds but may continue up to 2mins 30sec without penalty.

Your car looks good. It's not 3 colours and doesn't have rust holes through it.

Thought you quit anyway? wink.gif

It's always the "just one more" when it goes bad.

Hey Matt, just confirming, each entrant will only get 1 skid?

Why not start it early in the day so ppl can get in a few more...

Check the time table. The event runs from 11AM as it is. The regular 4, 6, and 8 cyl class run until 6PM and the NQ PRO BURNOUTS starts at 7PM running til 10PM.

You can do more skids earlier in the day but will not be judged on those skids towards the PRO class. If the PRO entrants wish to enter the regular comp or just do some "warm ups" they may but it won't count towards their judged skid.

We only have three hours 7PM to 10PM to run probably 50 cars. There won't be a chance for the PRO class to run multiple burnouts in that time.

The reason for one skid is most people entering will not want to punish their car all day as they are big dollar motors in most cases. Go all out on one skid.

There is a practice meet on July 19th also running for four hours 4-8PM if people wish to come and test their rig.
