rumor had it that there was not goin to be a display demonstrater model at any dealerships for a while due to the fact how many people have prepurchased them and nissan cutting down production

Parry's won't get them. The sh!t fight just to sell them makes any HSV Showroom look like a Hyundi dealership. They have to have 2 specificly trained mechanics and it's very own workshop dedicated to the 1 car and notheing else aswell as only premium Nissan dealers were allowed to even apply to sell them. The servicing set up is rediculous and the cost of fluids that only nissan make for them is criminal. Something like 90 bucks a litre for gearbox oil of which there is about 8ltrs. How does brake roter replacement every 20000km sound just to keep warenty sound.
Don't quote me but this is what i heard from someone thats been to a Nissan australia Conference and shaken hands with the CEO
Long Live RB26 I say.

Also doesnt the engine have to be pulled down every so often, to replace the coating on the cylinders so it complies with emissions....

these cars will be looked after by the first owner and every service will be done. then when the fun wears off the next person will start to do things himself as the factory warranty has run out. then by that time aftermarket siht will be everywhere and it wont matter. hmmmm sorta sounds like most cars these days........

dunno how premium the mackay dealership is..... they cant even put a sump plug on a navara properly..... blew up my old mans 20000km old d40 navara and didnt want to wear the cost...... tools.....

the only reason they got one is the fact to many people in mackay are on 150k + salarys and know they might sell a few there and northern peeps will just have to make the trip to buy one....
The Subaru Impreza is the Automotive equivalent of a decent prostitute.......They perform well, provide a good/thrilling ride but every f*ckers been there and done it already...

I don't like being told what to do, and when some aluminium cased box of gears and friction plates tells me that it's time to change up, I really get pissed off. I will decide when it's time to change gears and sometimes I'm right. So the old smarty-pants automatic transmission isn't my best friend

It's actually got nothing to do with the salaries of the locals other than the fact that they have enough to buy new cars all the time. Gtr dealers must be a premium dealership which is denoted but the amount of new cars a dealership sells in an avarage year/month. For example, HSV have the same princible. I think a holden dealership needs to sell something like 40 new holdens a month to qualify for the oppertunity to become a HSV dealership.

thats pretty much what i was refering to..... the fact that all the miners in mackay have such a fat paycheck means they all get a new car every 4 years or less.... the fact they all get lease cars so they dont have to worry about anything has a big thing to do with it... been there done that....

i was refering also to the crappy mechanics they have in mackay at nissan to.... the worst after sales service so will b sad to see any of those gtr's just get wasted in that town....
