Ohhh i see.. well i kinda cant do the whole v8 thing(stupid P plate rules)
love the colour though.
mad grill too smile.gif
Im guessing those are 4wd hilux guards and rear.

i was thinking more of things like a cold air intake. maybe some headers. and a 5 speed box.
though i am on woolies wages(GODDAMN ECONOMICAL CRISIS!!!) which makes it a bit difficult.

+2 Dont waste time modding something that aint worth modding. . Maybe for now just rims and a pod setup and lower it. . And some speakers but dont bother with performance mods. .

Noooooooooooooo! you didn't state you built it but by ommitting the fact you bought it like it is you would allow people to think you built it!

When the money is tight, you really have to want things to be able to save for them. What do you want more, a little bit quicker hilux or cash to lay down on a nice (better, faster, uglier - whatever blows your skirt up) car later?

I know what i'd be doing, use it for what it is.

Cheap, economical & practical form of transport.

You need to go to the drags to get your priorities in check lol
Hmmm.

I can smell.......stupidity.

Remove Y series lump, replace with R series.

You will need the engine and gearbox crossmembers from an R series hilux, which will allow make for a complete bolt-in conversion, no welding or customising required.

21RC is a carby 2 litre
22RE is EFI 2.4 litre.

Both can be made to go f*cken hard and rev like a bastard with simple intake mods, headers, exhaust... step two is an aggressive cam regrind and some harder valve springs and you'll be beyond the handling and stopping limits of the hilux smile.gif

4" blocks, remove bumpstops front and rear. wind down torsions. This will bring it down farking low for about $90 if you do it yourself. Buy rims. Replace 2wd guards with 4wd ones. Toyota surf dront end all chrome. Shave up the tray an doors. Thats what i did with my old hilux.

Id agree with oh baby, hirpm boostjunky and Kurupt. Yes when you mod a hilux it will take a lot of time and money as ohbaby stated. They arent a popular car to modify and look nice as they are a medium/heavy transnport vehicle and thats wat they are built for. Not for looking nice. And for hirpm boostjunky get a car worth modifying. Ull b wasting ur money on the hilux as ud probably sell it when ur off ur p's anyways. So when u culd have been saving uve spent money on trying to make it look good??????????

If its something you want to modify and throw money at, then do it.
If every1 saved there money for a better car the world would be boring

As Low'N'Slow said, lower the bitch, change the guards, shave it and throw some mags on

Get a pod filter or CAI and exhaust for starters aswel

Thats a starting point for him. From there imagination (and money) is the limit

You already told him to not bother with it, why do you care?

hey man just do what u want go wild.... power is pretty slack but as jared said go for a 22r motor they are awesome.... go pretty hard for what they are and then really the sky is the limit.... if u want something fast dont waste ya money on it
but if u are after something that just looks sweet for now dump it put some bling wheels and do the usual mini truck things then later when u want it fast drop an sr20det in it or a 3sgte both 4 cyl and turbo and go hard as with a few mods
The Subaru Impreza is the Automotive equivalent of a decent prostitute.......They perform well, provide a good/thrilling ride but every f*ckers been there and done it already...

I don't like being told what to do, and when some aluminium cased box of gears and friction plates tells me that it's time to change up, I really get pissed off. I will decide when it's time to change gears and sometimes I'm right. So the old smarty-pants automatic transmission isn't my best friend
