Have never heard much along the grapevine about drifting in Townsville.. especially since the so called "Drift Track" is no longer feasible for obvious reasons.
Is there anything really going? Hopefully legal as well

Your so called drift track was a joke! How dumb could everyone be! I hope everyone gets whats comming to them because of their lack of brain function.
Geez, I'm a drifter but you have to pick and choose your time and place very carefully. And now i refuse to slide just because of the hoon laws, Tis not worth copping a fine/loss of license/loosing your wheels for ever how long.
As far as drifting goes in townsville, It wont happen. not until a motorsport complex is built. so i'm guessing its brissy or cairns thats the go.
Sorry bleemo, not having a go at you, just other idiots who should use there brain when drifting on "So Called Drift Track"

just drift entering and leaving the ring road and see how good yr skills are. if you fail, off the road u go...

Yeah i heard the guys who did that werent the most calculative with there plans.
Kinda sucks that Cairns get it but we dont.
Someone told me that there were plans for a legitimate drift arena in townsville? Can anyone confirm or deny that?
And also its pointless trying to drift my car.. its a front wheel drive with no guts.. only got a little 1.6L engine.

You guys got the V8s. Got a drag strip. Get a lot of crap. We got nothing. Stop whining and do what we all do when we want to go drag racing.... 800km round trip.

We only just got the V8's and as for the dragstrip. isn't that getting demolished soon for residential development or some shit?
