hopefully there will be more there this year than just XR6 turbo's and VY/VZ SS commodores.. no offence to those that own them, but 20 in a row with the only differences being colour and wheels does not an auto "spectacular" make!

Cant blame anyone other than the owners of other makes who couldnt be bothered to get off their collective arses and display their cars.
Those very same car owners who refer to themselves as car enthusiasts, but are rarely seen outside of fastfood takeaway car parks.
There was alot of whingeing about last years show and the committee invited the general population to come along and have some input.
Alot was achieved so if you did not attend any of those meetings dont whinge about the show this year.
You will have no one to blame but yourselves .
end rant

well said Rod.

Make's me want to get some more XRT's involved now

I can understand people wanting to put their cars in a car show as they take pride in the vehicle they drive. I can also see both sides of the story here. On one hand, looking at a row of xr6t's or holdens with mag wheels would be like going for a walk through a used car lot. They might pump out a bit of power but its like looking in the mirror. You see it everyday. But on the other hand as mentioned before if the guys with the eye opening vehicles would attend this would not be a issue. You would just walk straight past the "said boring cars" and drool over the show stoppers. But this is not the case. So it is a catch 22.
Why wont decent moddified cars show up to these events????

because this show is gay, and a lot of the guys with modified cars have been treated like crap, i for one will not put my car in that show again after the way i was treated last year, they can die a slow death as far as i'm concerned..

We have been coming to Cairns for years now and generally enjoy the whole experience. The last couple of years have been a little dissappointing but we are all keen to come up again. It is always a good idea to encourage people to come back to these events but I think it is a bit negative telling people to get off thier arses and come or it will be thier fault it's a shitty show though. Maybe the organisers need to look at the way entrants are treated, especially those who travel quite long distances.
