In the same boat as you. I'm only going for a dyno run, even though i'm getting one this week. Tossing up if i should park it with al the other xr6t's, my sleeper is kinda the opposite of a show car.

$35 for dyno and just pay normal entry fee at the gate, park scott street side and go see Lee Holman at the dyno or display booth and he will give you times etc

When its your time the marshals will direct you into the dyno for your run. You possibly can buy more runs on the day depending on time factors.

i think that i might put my toyota corolla/ seca hatch back in for this years cairns car show. its a 1991 model, 18yr old car. i haven't seen many toyotas in the cairns car show just fords and holdens. i have 6subs and more but its not too fantcy at the moment. its a working progress and it will be my first time i have put my car into the cairns car show. i hope that people don't laugh at me. i take my car out to maccas every thurs nites and cruise with it heaps throughout town. its also been at the townsville car show on the strand this year and people where amazed with the sound system in a 18yr old seca. it was also a promo car for the townsville dragway. if townsville people read this then they would know my car.

I heard a story last night that my car will be entering and i'll be getting paid to do a few skids

it'll be a cold day in hell before i go to that show while it's in it's current format, no matter how much money was involved

that along with the fact the car is currently stripped makes it pretty much impossible

it's yours man, just hope you don't feel like a beer at 7pm, they normally kick you out by then and have security make you tip your drinks out on the ground and leave, make sure you don't refuse to tip out what you bought though, because the next step is the police trying to charge you with not consuming alcohol in a licensed premises, as once they shut the widows on the bar you are no longer allowed to drink there, well at least that's what they told me to force me to leave the bar area, which was meant to be open until late

I guess 7pm is late for the old geriatrics that run that show

I should be there, the car is booked in for tuesday to have the clutch replaced. Aslong as they don't need to order any special parts i should be sweet.

hey guys i wanna put my car in for the show, but im not sure wat security is there if my car is to be left overnight ? is it safe to put it in lol ? it will be getting trucked in and out so thats about 60 bucks there, and 60 bucks back to my house

if its in the Fred Moule Pavillion its locked at night with security gaurds all night

look on the website and lm sure it states it on the entry form pages

My window tinted taxi is gonna miss out by that much from being done so i'm out. I'm still gonna try & come up & have a look around. I hope this year is a new beginning & it goes well for everyone.
