Hi All

Townsville City Autosports Club is having a come and try motorkhana on the 20th of Spetember @ the Townsville drag strip.

See attached flyer for details.

They are also having a come and try Khanacross (dirt event) the weekend before which is the 13th of September at the Charters Towers Motorcycle club.

I'll be there to help out and have a slide Pete. I'll be back in the country by then. I was supposed to do that drift school at mako that weekend but the useless clowns have cancelled the dates yet again. 3rd time they've screwed me now

I'll only be coming out in the GTR cause the S15 is having a holiday up on the tablelands for a while while I'm homeless. Hopefully be able to have a few runs in the passenger side to help out the new starters. Hopefully we'll get a good turnout and have a good fun day with no presure of competition.

pretty keen to come out for a look, dont have a CAMS licence or anything and the car wont be quite up for it yet, but any advice for a first timer whose looking at using their daily in the motokhana? I want to make sure it can handle a bit of a thrashing before attempting to drive it home that evening..

either way i will definately be coming out this weekend so keen to meet up with a few guys and have a chat..

You can get a cams licence on the day. If you can drive your car there its up for it! A good working handbrake is a bonus and some spare rear tyres. I'll be using a stock standard 1979 datsun Stanza with my little sister. Got 6th overall last time with some bad driving which is what makes the difference more than the car. Yet again, was well setup. And also good to see people getting out and trying it.
Win, win for TCAC @ the drag strip. Altho there will always be casualties being the tyres on cars. Very harsh but soo much fun lol.
Had a blast people. Make sure you come to a comp next time as more the merrier etc

Jae should have got some good videos on his little cam, he threw it in Coops car for a run..
