I have a billet shifter in my VT, love it to bits! So strong you can slam gears all day and not one drama yet (Had it since feb). Throw is good and 100% excellent build quality and service. Hope this helps!

both are a great item and i believe they are both made so u can throw hard from 2nd-3rd and not miss the gate....

I don't like being told what to do, and when some aluminium cased box of gears and friction plates tells me that it's time to change up, I really get pissed off. I will decide when it's time to change gears and sometimes I'm right. So the old smarty-pants automatic transmission isn't my best friend

im using the billet pro. I wouldnt say rip shifter or billet is better build, both are great. Look at the pics yourself. Ive never had a problem with the plates moving on the billet shifter, and i changed prity hard, its a quality item.

I did alot research on the two before i bought mine and all in all they are very much the same. I spoke to an old bloke who been racing pro for years and has used both in his career and he reackons theres little difference. He recomended if your going to be out the track every weekend the ripshifters the go but if the billet was abit more user friendly for an everyday driver. But said the difference is so small the average punter wouldnt even be able to tell. So yeah i dont think you can go wrong either way

two of my mates have these and after driving both with similar mods i think the billet feels much better and seems to have a slightly shorter throw the the Rip Shift. Also the Rip Shift feels a little notchy and its like the springs are too intense.
i would go the Billet for sure i'm getting one for my Tremec 6 speed once its in the clubby
