Hey guys, for those that remember, some nearly 3years ago I had a Gen-TT WH Caprice. All exceptional installation & exhaust work was done by Hi-Flow exhaust & intercooling.
Posted Image
Was a great little budget setup & ended up with a 11.91@119mph,1.99sec 60 foot, before the stock motor decided to bend some valves. Now after a long hiatus & misadventure that nearly saw me ripped off blind from a dodgy interstate operator, the car is almost ready to hit the streets again with a new combo from the guys at Castle Hill exhaust performance centre in Sydney.
Posted Image
The new combination consists of a 6L (364inch) iron block, aftermarket rods, pistons, head studs,CNC ported LS2 '243' heads,238/244/115lsa cam, custom manifolds, twin gt3582 (0.86 A/R turbine housings). Box is a TH400,rear end consists of BMR cv's & driveshafts with an upgraded 2piece tailshaft. Big thank you must go to Andrew (aka Popeye) of Hi-Flow for the fitment of the rear end,pro ratchet shifter & many other things along the way.
So far all thats left on the car is fuel system & tuning.
Its got an eboost street & dual map pcm, flick a switch for pump or race fuel.
It's getting raced at WSID on race fuel with 29x9 slicks & front runners.

That looks great. Look forward to seeing it run some numbers, and perhaps a time?

Keep posting details as you progress!

Are you running 364ci, or did you bump the displacement out a bit? What final drive are you running?

That's also quite an aggressive cam for a turbo, noice! Posted Image

You'll probably need to look at a cage if you haven't already got one in... That's how quick you should have the old boat going!

Yeah got the  0.82 exhaust housings for now, remember its a daily driver.
Stock 364ci,maybe in years to come it might grow to 400+ & then we go for 1.06 rear housings.
Its stock 3.07 gearing. So in top gear (1:1) at 100km/h,should be around the 2500rpm.

It's been a long week!
More tuning so far has seen a smidge over 400rwkw on 10psi,I've been told it's gettin tuned to 15psi on pump fuel soon, which they hope will see 480-500rwkw.

Looks like it's all progressing quite well... Be interesting to see if the combo can go to 500rwkw on pulp.
Even if it pulls up a bit short that's still fantastic power!
