f**king fantastic best motorsport event I have been to
so far about .5 of a second off the v8 supercar lap record and they are on r compound tyres
I wasn't expecting the track to be so good, almost as impressive as Bathurst

Well the ended up being 1.5 sec faster then a v8 supercar. f**k me it was awesome. But i was spewing when mark berry cut the panspeed off when it was on its final lap. And I got the sun cyber evo loosing its boot/wing on camera. And had a good laugh at the xr6 supercar and the donut king vy being way off the pace of the imports.

but i am sure i seen somewhere about that xr6 supercar supposedly going to b on par with the v8 supercars almost straight up as it was already a fully track preped car? just with a 6 cyl turbo instead of the 8?

I don't like being told what to do, and when some aluminium cased box of gears and friction plates tells me that it's time to change up, I really get pissed off. I will decide when it's time to change gears and sometimes I'm right. So the old smarty-pants automatic transmission isn't my best friend

I thought the ford holden would be up there but having the tyre restriction that are in place there was no chance as they seem to have very little or no aero which means stuff all traction compared to the jap/american and a couple of the aussie cars

The jap and american cars can literally drive upside with the amount of downforce they produce

Well the falcon wasn't really any faster down the straights though. It was doing around 1.39's wasnt it? Where as the top 5 were 1.33's and under?

Yeah even the donut king car was pretty slow and it had an experienced driver, there was a private 180sx with 250 rwkw doing 1.40s

The donut king car was reliable though, set up for long races not the best lap

In saying that I dont see them getting as quick times as the jap stuff which actualy surprised me considering they are ex race cars

i have been following the build of the car pretty closely, all they have said is that its a v8 super car chassis, its new suspension and brakes and they were trying to get it set up, also were planning on only running 640hp for its first event, which is very conservative,

good to see mark and russ doing well
