This will be an on-going thread where people can put forward their suggestions and comments to improve the forum whether it be aesthetically, forum features or any other thoughts people have. Think I've done something half assed and needs improving on? Let me know. Something needs adding to improve the experience on the website? Let me know!

Things that are do-able will get added to this thread as a list of "things to do" with a status on their completion.

Remember, you as members make the forum what it is so any feedback and suggestions will only make the forum better for yourself and other members.

I hope this thread proves constructive........

• More cruises/events.
• Shoutbox intrusive - More obvious hide/show buttons to get rid of it for users that don't want to see it.

Try doing a tracert and paste the results....

start > run > tracert qldstreetscene.com

Sounds like a problem between yourself and the server. The server is pretty good. Plenty of free memory and low server load.

Fine in Au, slows to 300ms for the last 3 hops offshore. Weird.

That's not real bad.... Shouldn't make it load slow that is for sure. I'm getting ~300ms to QSS also. You won't get much better really. What ISP are you with?

get more mods to regulate the forum. How many of the old original members don't get on here any more because of all the 18 year olds getting into e-fights all the time? Even I don't post anywhere near as often because there's no decent threads left. The Spam thread hasn't been used hardly at all, and that's where all the crap was meant to go into.

Mods don't read half the threads either........ I know I don't. Report junk. I often remove posts or topics that are reported for legitimate reasons. I don't recall seeing half the junk that used to go on around here lately. Used to be a weekly occurrence.

Stop this site from being facebook (thats what facebook is for.)
Ban aggressive posts and namecalling.(it doesnt make you look tough in the eyes of other members)
Being polite and non agressive gets you further everytime.
Act like adults and you will be treated like adults.
Maybe a mod to be responsible for each section (wouldnt be too much work.)
Mods should be more ruthless. No warnings...a weeks ban for 1st infringement , even minor.
First job is to clean up the character of the site and the original more adult members will return im sure.
NOT TO MENTION MORE CRUISES ,MORE CRUISE,MORE CRUISES.
Dont forget why QSS was originally formed

I was thinking about another cruise the other day actually. I've had a lot of things floating around in my head re cruises. Just got carried away with other things and they are still just floating.....

I'll put that to the list in original post though Rod and will act upon it

While that's being mentioned I always wanted to see someone from Townsville, Mackay and the likes take some initiative and organise a large scale event. There have been a few over the years but it'd be nice to see more. Someone to organise a big drag meet like few years ago. Someone to do a major cruise.... or the likes.

Trish from ProUTES (FPV86) was good at organising the Townsvillains.
Unfortunately she has moved to Adelaide now.
She organised a few things but got disheartened as usual by the keyboard warriors forever mouthing off.

It's not just keyboard warriors. People complain no matter what you do be it on the Internet or to your face. Running the burnouts, drifting and QSS I get my fare share of clowns that feel I care about their opinion. People that think they could do better yet have no intention of actually doing anything. People that think they are special and should not have to pay or get treated differently to everyone else. That sort of thing..... it is just something you learn to deal with. In the end you learn how to deal with these sorts of people and not let it bother you, but it took me a while to learn to not let it bother me. I've sure had my moments over the years trying to deal with people ha ha ha.

I know, just saying you need broad shoulders and not to let peoples opinion upset you when in a position of organising or running of something. If you try and do something for the benefit of others..... there are plenty of people who want to see you fail or think they could do it better..... human nature I guess. Easier to bag someone out than do it yourself...... or just support it? Anyway.........
