I think it would be a better weekend if there was a good turnout, get a few cars from cairns to head down and also stir up some interest in townsville??

I don't like being told what to do, and when some aluminium cased box of gears and friction plates tells me that it's time to change up, I really get pissed off. I will decide when it's time to change gears and sometimes I'm right. So the old smarty-pants automatic transmission isn't my best friend

The guys going to think here's another kid using a fake ID or here's McLovin, the 25 year old Hawaiian organ donor. So what's it going to be? I am McLovin. No your not. No one's McLovin, McLovin's never existed because that's a made up, dumb, f**king fairy tale name you f**k

I still have half a barrel of VHT from my comp last year so if the numbers are there and guys wouldnt mind paying a bit extra I can have a talk to Mobsy and see if we can get the first half of the strip prepped. I figure if you guys are coming all that way from Cairns that it would be nice to be able to stand on it at the start line rather than peddle it.

It comes in a 55 gallon drum (208 liters) and costs around $1800 (methanol is also needed in order to thin it out so that it can be sprayed properly). It takes half a barrel to prep the track at a major meet, and so I have half a barrel left which I would be happy to let go for $600. However even if we just get the first half of the track prepped that would only use 1/4 which would bring the price right down to $300. If we can get atleast 10 people keen thats only and additional $30 bucks a head, even cheaper if we get more people in on it.
Best of all there will still be 1/4 of a drum left so we can do it again later in the year for the same cost.
The only thing I havent factored in is the cost for methanol but I'll get back to you guys on that one.

Always wondered what goes into preparing a drag strip. Turns out to be a lot of money.
