HAHAHAHA nah it is serious, when to temprature they will give off a lavander odor and due to the special compound used in the scenting they are actually really good tyres.

Yes we can get Coloured smokes, these are Not Road legal tyres.

Good deal on those coloured tyres. I imagine a few of the burnout guys may be interested in those.... especially towards the PRO Burnouts in August.

How do these KU36 semi slicks compare to say, a toyo r888 or a bridgestone re55. They look more like a good road tyre than a propper soft compound semi slick much like falken RT615.

I don't like being told what to do, and when some aluminium cased box of gears and friction plates tells me that it's time to change up, I really get pissed off. I will decide when it's time to change gears and sometimes I'm right. So the old smarty-pants automatic transmission isn't my best friend

there is a few threads on sau regarding these tyres have a read of those

I cant compare to the tyres you mentioned becuase I have never used them but the consensus on sau was that bang for buck they are great but like you said more of a road tyre, which is a good thing if the car gets driven on the road a bit and you dont have $$$ to keep replacing proper semis

I have found they are not to bad in the wet, but they dont start realy gripping until they are quite warm.
The stiff side walls are great\
For the average person who is still learning how to drive(such as myself) the ku36 are great

After seeing those crazy vids of you driving on the mountain I would be getting the best tyre you can buy haha crazy mofo

option1 is a great company as well always very quick delivery and good communication :D

Righto thanks. I've already bought a brand new set of R888s for the season starting but could possibly look at some of these for the tarmac rally. The vids you saw, I was on Yoko AO48 hards and they weren't a bad for the rally but dead useless on the kart track. Just couldn't get the heat in them in 4 laps. We'll see how we go closer to the time but i'm also trying to get some sponsership for the Tarmac rally so i'll probably use whatever someone will give me. Haha.

How do the 275 40 17s sit on 9 inch rims? Do they hang over much or are 255s gonna be the go in a KU36.

255s sit flush on my 9s
i have 235 on the front also about flush on 8.5

these get the heat in them quick, my fronts were melted good and proper and I dont think my car even got a full 4 laps in, was an extremly hot day though

From all reports our customers have given is that these will heat up MUCH faster than its compeditors.
As they are desgined for street use with Track ability, as such they need to get to temp fast and without effort.

Set of Ku31's from option1 coming for my Birthday... Can't wait a week or so away.

No-one can match their pricing Aust wide for Kumho's! Or at least in my endless searching and discussions with people i couldn't ;o)

Very pleasant and easy to deal with company also.

I rang them up today and ordered a pair of 595-SS . Real cheap and good customer service ( got the pair for cheaper than one of my front tyres!)

im nearly due for a set of road tyres i reckon the 225/40/18's might be the go.. Im using 235/40/18's at the moment so id reckon the 225's would be much the same fit just not as wide obviously??

Just got a set of KU31's fitted balanced and aligned few weeks ago.

Amazing confidence in the wet guys! Incredible price all up $501 delivered to my door. No-one in town can match the pricing on Kumho's.
