The 2010 Charters Towers Motor Show & Swap Meet.
Staged for the 32nd year over the Queens Birthday Weekend.
Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th June at the Charters Towers Showgrounds.

CHARTERS TOWERS AUTOGLASS ''SUPREME ENTRANT AWARD'' & $1000

Best Club Display Award & $500.

Best Individual Display Award & $250.

We have more refined trophy sections this year to accommodate the three levels of presentation with paint, engine bay & interior. Browns Amusements are back with a bigger and better Kidz Korner, Licensed Bar, very popular local Venus Blues Band playing Friday night & Sunday, Two Huge Super Cruises, Bill Henderson Observation Rally, Go-to-Whoa, Show'n'Shine and the Biggest Swap Meet in North Qld. Our feature attraction this year is the 2009 Meguiar's MotorEx Superstars finialist and Summernats 22 Top 10 winning 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sedan elite show car of North Queensland's own Willie Parker. This is an absolutely awesome elite show vehicle that has to be seen to be believed. Hope to see you there.
Cheers,
Phil ...

Check out our clubs new web site ... www.ctrc.com.au ... It's a work in progress.

You can download an entry form & information flyer on the 2010 Event.

We have invited Michael Dascoli of ''Rodders Life'' and are hoping he is able to attend.

I'm on the look out for an experienced car show judge who would be able to help us at the Charters Towers Motor Show & Swap Meet 12th & 13th June ...

Our mob will be there as usual and I'm pretty sure the rest of the "American" crew will be as well. Matt (Sinister) should broaden his horizons and come out for a look see, it may surprise him as it' has a wide range of cars, trucks etc and the cruises etc are excellent as well. Could get some good footage and then head out to the burnouts. Also Sunday is a good day for the day trippers as I believe that is judging day so no one leaves early like some other shows, particularly as Monday is a holiday. Cheers, Neale.

I'm pretty sure matt's horizons are already pretty broad.... He's been a big help with the burnout comp.
He said he was hoping to try and make it, lets hope he does!

Yes I know Matt is a great help I just meant he would probably enjoy coming out and seeing something different. ie Swap meet and a wider range of vehicles and the western hospitality and maybe get some footage of the fine dispalys out there.

Broader horizon doesn't even come in to play...... It's all money. Not exactly just down the road. I wish I could make it but I am not made of money. If I had plenty of money I'd have a cool car of my own :)

New job means no days off either.

If I can afford to go I will be there but not looking promising! Feel free to make donations Neile :)

You want to try with a family of five! Anyhow would be good if you could get out Matt! Any members on here want to donate to the Matty Foundation?

Everyones more than welcome ... Yes the cost of attending these events can be very taxing on the family budget.
To those of you who are coming this year ... I thank you... We have a big weekend planned.

Don't forget for everyone arriving on Friday ... We have the ''Meet & Greet'' from 6.30pm ... Licensed bar, Food Hall, Venus Blues Band chanking out the tunes and plenty of good old Charters Towers hospitality ...The weekend is shaping up well.

Well we just arrived home from the Towers and will post up some pics asap. Had a great time (as usual) and have booked accommodation for next year. I think the swap meet was definately bigger/better this year and on Sunday there was a very good range and number of vehicles on display. Thanks to the organisers and sponsors of this event for your great Western hospitality.
