loved yellow darts since i seen the one in mackay with the huge letterbox scoop on itsounded so nice and went real well too for the size of iturs is looking pretty sweet man good luck with the build up :)

Sure you're not thinking of John Clifford's yellow 1973 Dodge Challenger? That's the only yellow mopar I'm aware of in Mackay.Doesn't mean I know them all though.

nah defo not that car.... dunno if it is still lurking around down there, but it was a yellow dart with a huge letterbox scoop on it that was almost as wide as the bonnet itself, it looked real nice and sounded about 10 times better than it looked.... it was owned by a fairly young fello maybe late 20's early 30's at the oldest.... pretty sure he was a miner and i only seen the car in the flesh about 3 or 4 times

basically it looked like the car in this link... but a real one http://www.snuffledo...s/50620gn02.jpg

I don't like being told what to do, and when some aluminium cased box of gears and friction plates tells me that it's time to change up, I really get pissed off. I will decide when it's time to change gears and sometimes I'm right. So the old smarty-pants automatic transmission isn't my best friend

OK.Updates.

It's been rustproofed.

Boot lock and boot wiring are in place.

Wiring for the dome light is in place.

Door locks, glass, window winders, etc are all fitted and adjusted.

Using a combination of US and Oz parts I've got toggle operated mirrors fitted to both doors.

Waiting on a roller rebuild kit to get the rear quarter windows in.

Made mounts and runners to fit the Laser TX3 buckets nicely.

Bought a set of new doorcards from PPR.Cheap as at $99 for the four!!!

Upholsterer is booked in for Jauary 4th to fit headliner and start on the rest of the interior trimming.

Grille and lights are in and wired up.

Most of the engine bay wiring and bits'n'pieces are fitted up.

I've got an A/C heater over from Classic Auto Air which I want to fit up before the engine goes in.

Today I finished light porting and cleaning up of the heads.

Posted Image

Heads are now torqued down on the engine.

Will do a bit more engine assembly tomorrow and retorque the heads.
