hey i recently did a 202 to 253 changeover in hz ute, and got a v8 trimatic and did a service kit on it but it has a few problems like fluid is on full when car is off but low when running is that right? and it very weak in drive and especially in reverse, and help plz???

<P>fill it up to 'full' with the motor running. Top/Reverse clutch pack are weak in trimatics when they are standard. No adjustment available for that clutch unless you rebuild. <BR><BR>See how it goes with a full auto sump of oil.</P>

how much fluid should it take when full?

As much as it takes until the dip stick says full.

You are supposed to test when warm and running, not off like engine oil.

ok thanks mate it working good now, just leaking near dipstick tube a few minutes after it turned off, i think its the pan gasket but its new so im not too sure

i got a TH350 almost brand new i could sell you that would fix it good n proper
