We have been really lucky that all members of the Charters Towers Regional Council have backed our club since the beginning. Letting us race at the airport is great and then they have been so helpful in finding land for us to build the new facility. Shouldnt be to much longer.
Fingers crossed maybe racing out there late next year but hopefully should be out there getting organised by the end of the year.

thats an odd thing to say.. which gov funding are you talking about? The current townsville track is privately owned so I dont see how that is going to get govt funding.
In regards to a new facility in Townsville... where is the money that has been allocated? I wasnt aware that any had been secured. Has a new site even been finalised?
Its not a matter of money for Townsville and money for Charters Towers. A track in either venue obviously prooves there is a demand for the facility so should help both parties.
