(don't need cold weather if ya running race fuel and you got good cooling system in ya car including good intercooler. I have everything in my car to run an 8 the only thing that might let me down is having the 3 speed C4 not a powerglide, but can guarantee ya's if nothing goes wrong with my car the first night it hits the strip if it don't run a mid to low 9 i will sell it, I have spent too much on it and all the right combos for it not to do it) :lmao:

Honestly at 1200 pre paid entrants so far this year, have fun with it.

Its been 3 yrs since we went, back then there was 900 and we only got 5 laps every time the cruise was on then 2hrs of lineup it was over, the burnouts on Saturday night was with 100-200 cars most of which were shiters that you see it the back streets of Brisbane.

Hey bring it to Nth QLD and have only Nth QLD cars in it I'm sure we can fill it with 1000+ cars with no probs.

I'm not against it but there should be a cutoff for entrants so that its fair on all weather they travel 5mins or 5 days to come to it.

Mick,

I agree mate the lineups are ridiculous but hey if you want to be a part of that sort of thing whereelse can you go??? Maybe someone should approach Townsville about doing a Powercruise style event either before or after the V8's while the track is set up with the road closures. Just a suggestion. I've even thought about going to Darwin hoping there might be less people on track. I honestly think that seeing as GUP wants a photo of your car with the entry that maybe he should start actually looking at them and eliminate all of the slowass shitboxes from the track. Just my opinion.

As long as people keep paying and the figures go up it won't change.

If you fork out the extra cash for a garage or carport you get a pit lane pass which means there are no line ups and you can go out on track as many times as you like whenever you want.
Well worth the coin if you ask me. Plus your car isnt forever dirty from being parked in the back paddock.

Still the best car event I've ever been to by far. Even better then summernats.

It was AWESOME! Got down there thursday, set up camp at the top of turn one which was a brilliant spot. Also got offered to buy a pit lane pass which in turn made the weekend even better. I'll be back for sure!

Good to see you down there. We had an awesome weekend as well and are already planning for next year . Even thinking about trying out the Sydney track in March.

Mate i seen you were down there having a ball as always. I got your first powerskid on video but spewing i missed the second one when you blew the tyres and looped it.
Turned out alot better then it could have i think. haha
By the way I recon it was crap that they recon you sat on the spot for to long.

We are also thinking about taking the trip to sydney but even darwin wouldn't be to bad.

Honestly in some ways I thought shit was trumps but instincts just took over and kept it away from the wall and the dirt. First time I've ever done that by the way but to line it up still running to drive straight back out the pit lane exit was awesomeB) . Maybe I should have finished the other one off???:fool:

Gup reckoned I sat on the line for too long and that was why it was dissallowed but there were no brakes except to start in second and punched straight to top and it just sat there.

Will have to wait and see what happens with Darwin with the track upgrades but am keen on that too. Missus isn't that keen on the skids and stuff but man going fast in a straightline is fun but F#@K me doin' it sideways or in circles is better. So glad I sold the racecar to stick to the streeter!!!! :yahoo: :dance2:
