i was wondering if they made a smaller style cleveland starter motor i:e smaller diam or shorter body as were running out of room in our eb!!

Mate this may sound stupid, but i have read on another forum you can get a ba 6 cylinder starter to fit and it is only 160-170 bucks from ingrams :)

is there much size difference as this is the issue??

I use the gear reduction style on my old clevo.. smaller lighter but a little bit dearer. I used to have alot of trouble with the extractors heating the start soloniod and the shitta wouldnt go but once i threw the gear reduction starter on it was all apples.

thanks people i got a smaller style clevo starter and it worked a treat, might see the eb(black betty) at the next comp if we get it finished!!
