Entry form available within the next week, meeting will be run on a local race meeting format.

Street cars still very much welcome to run in Super Street.

Mackay prevailed last year, will Townsville come with more artillery this year ?

Free camping offered to entrants / crew members - hot showers - camping available Friday night - no charge to camp.

I'm looking at coming down again this year but my car now runs in the 10's. It has a cage and all the right safety gear but I do not have an Andra license and it has not yet been tech inspected. Can I buy a day license? If not what do i need to do?

G'day guys,

Entry form now avalible: http://www.palmyradr...df/18thSept.pdf

Please note entries close Wednesday 08/09 - any entries recieved after this will incur $25 late fee.

The meeting has been renamed "Tri City Challenge" to give our Southern competitors a chance to represent themselves as well.

This year round a shield will be created and the shield presented to the winning city to display (maybe at Townsville Dragway / Beneraby / Palmyra ?)

Any car running quicker then 11.00 will require the driver to have an ANDRA licence and the vehicle to be tech inspected, as per ANDRA regulations.

ANDRA UDL licence application form: http://www.andra.com...icence_form.pdf

Includes a medical cert that needs to be filled out etc.

Car needs to be inspected by a tech inspector. No-one in Mackay will do it on the day. I am not aware of anyone in Townsville who is a tech inspector. I think John Barbagallo in Ayr is one. Steve Gay in Mackay is another, and can probably fill you in on who the nearest is to you, contact Steve on 49521611

Perhaps approach people likely keen to race? Popeye? Kent? Liborio? Barry (Carby Centre)? Lucas?

I've found that people often do not take the time to pre-enter, but will turn up on the day. Why not just stager the prize money depending on turn out? That way the show can go on even with low pre-entry numbers but if the cars don't turn up on the day you're not shooting yourself in the foot with prize money for few entrants.

Unfortunately in our case it's not just prize money.

Radio advertising, event sanction costs, track preparation material, canteen supplies etc - all things that can goto waste and make the club loose money with a poor attendance.
