i think i have a solution to the townsville drift problem
i was watchen this vid just b4 on youtube and i was looken at the track and i noticed it is just a big car park well thats wat it looks like,, with witches hats and temporary concrete walls up and was thinking if we could get the council to let us use an empty car park some where for a day or night or wat ever once a month or some think that might help stop the hoon problem and charge like a $10-50 or how ever much money at the gate to help raise for a new complex and then ask the council 4 some more money if we dont have enough
hears the link >>
its just an idea but if some 1 could go to the counsil and or who ever dose that stuff it might help

What problem?
I think you're the problem here drifting through Townsville.
Anyway, car parks are private property.
No way land owners will let you rip marks on there land, not usually anyway.
Even if they did, they wont be pleased about it the next day, think V8 Supercars pit lane.
Been plenty of talk about tracks, really not going to happen.
You can still enjoy yourself with the autocrosses or motorkhanas or whatever they're called.

edit.
The best and only thing you can do is go see about the drift school in cairns. I dont know if they still operate but it would be a good place for you to start. you cant use your car there but they did have their own cars you use. s14's ect. Or join the tcac and attend their motorkanas, closest thing to drifting you'll find in townsville. Next event is penciled in for 19th september.

However, the wanks who hold the keys to the track have decided to make things very difficult to achieve another event.
Mako track up in Mareeba would be nice to use, but i dont think the owner wants such a sport on his track,,, dont get me wrong though you can participate in the many circut days up there which are really well run.
So basically if you want to drift, do it on the street or move to Brisbane.

Been more than one. I think about 3 or 4 public ones, but a good half a dozen invite only "practice" meets also. The last one was the QSS and RACELINE event, which was where it saw its death.
