... for a laugh how many people walked into a regular tyre shop and got their radials without ordering them in?? Not down at the local speed shop, I mean a dinky die tyre shop?? it's almost the same sort of deal really..

We are fortunate enough here in Townsville to have 'Currajong Tyre & Auto' (Ph: 47755955) as a local dealer for Mickey Thompson Tires. He keeps a wide range of slicks and drag radials in stock at all times ;)

Currajong Tyre & Auto is a regular run of the mill "dinky die tyre shop" Feel free to drop in and ask Russel if this is the case or not, I'm sure he will be happy to give you his opinion.

I realise this I buy my slicks from there, I guess when I drive 400 km to get my "grey area" street legal tyres I can get my street legal fuel at the same time, might even stop by the dot with my new tyres and my tank full of fuel and see which one they frown at. Hahahah

I guess I did say tyre shop didn't I,

Hey Brett just so you know , I'm only having a friendly poke , in no way shape or form is what I'm saying here to be taken seriously, I'm sure you know this but just wanted to be clear that I'm just havin a bit of fun and a play on words nothing more.

I hope the weekend goes well for you and everyone involved, as for the offer of comming down and racing at the event, I appreciate the offer but will have to decline, last time down there I suspect the car done the converter, I had a lot of issues all day with massive vib and slow 60's and slow mph and et, I worked out that the converter had something like 17% slip hence the best mph of only 127. Hopefully next year I cam enter as a competitor if things go well in the next 6-8 months.

One thing to point out is you can't get Sucrogen E85 at the pump any where and that pump E85 that is available on will not be the quality that the Sucrogen E85 is. While Sucrogen may still be legal, it's not available at the pump.

It's that kind of useless masturbatory statement that brings these forums down. It's not helpfull to anyone, and shows your absolute lack of character.

Stop trying to point out excuses Lee said it in one sentence... People choose to change the rules if it suits them.
f**k all people are running the fuel anyway so it doesnt really matter.
Lee is only f**king around but what he says he is so true......

I don't give a hoot. I'm not racing either way. Got nothing to race. Doesn't effect me one way or the other.

just been reading this and i really feel for ryan fair enough e85 isnt readily available up here but it is street legal and its not his fault everyone else hasnt tuned there cars to suit. i think its unfair good on him for having the advantage he shouldnt be handicapped cause no one else up here has followed the current trend.

Currently I have bays 10 through 15 booked at the Reid Park Pits. Each bay is a double and goes for $35 or $17 per side. If you would like one for the day please let me know and I will sign you up. Sponsors get preference however there are a further 8 bays that can booked out (16 more car spaces) so I doubt anyone will miss out.

Also I need to get in contact with the police this week, if anyone has any experience with this and would like to help me out it would be greatly appreciated :)

RULES on first page have been revised and their are some changes to take note of. Apologies if anyone has been trying to PM me and not gotten a reply, my inbox has been full up and unable to accept new messages.

Is there a certain std of legal-ness you are aiming for? Or is it open slather, and if your brave enough to make the drive without getting done by the cops, all will be good? Might be something to consider for the future years of the event, as its probably not a good image to be linked to encouraging cars that could be severley defected.
