time to upgrade from the trusty, little worse for wear VT. i have 2 options at the moment. a red supercharged calais with 92,000 red leather interior, jvc double din touch screen. apart from that stock. it has a fair few cat scratches and a couple of deepish scratches.
or a 04 VZ ss 6spd man 115,000 stock. yet to actually view it yet. there both within my budget to "buy". the calais would be more practical and probably more of a sleeper once im done modding it. but it doesnt have the V8 rumble! suggestions?

Scratched up perhaps may mean not care for it so much. If so, perhaps not maintained either. I think presentation shows the worth of the vehicle to the owner.

+1 vz ss, supercharged 6's go alright, but sound yuk, even a stock 8 sounds nice!!

A VZ ss ute for 15? if that was true I would be buying that! Or do you mean VU or VY maybe?
Utes hold their value well, alot better then the luxury cars in the holden range (statesman, calais etc)
VZ ss ute > VY anything. After 5 years the ute would be worth twice that of the sedan. Just dont forget the 1k rego a year for the v8 and the insurance for a 'performance car'...

u can get vy ss utes for 14-20k, but you obviously get what you pay for, i have seen a couple vz ss utes around the 18k mark, that r ok, with high k's, but they dont come around very often, so you must b doin better than me to get one for 15k....

nope definetly vz....16,000 to be exact. its got a few areas of clear thats flaking on the roof and a few large scrathes on the rhr lower bumper... serviced every 20,000 though...they tray is obviously scratched up but i dont mind...and its got a exhaust already...the thing is affording the extra rego and insurance! and mods

Go the VZ then dude. clean it up and you still get 20 for it on 3 years time. Whereas the VT, I wouldn't pay any more than 8 G's.
