As most of you know, i have written up a petition to try and get something happening with the burnouts.

I will be attaching the Petition form, for you to print out if you please and get signatures yourself. We need as much support as we can get!

Goodluck everyone! :)

check with the local council as the last burnout comp I went to in the ville had to be classed as a drift and cars were not allowed to be stationary. Mind you that was a lota years ago at the showgrounds tho. Kim would have a better understanding than me tho, if not nadine (kims sister) will

well its not a case of money when ppl do it every thur night and prob every other night of the week. so making it every 2nd thur night give ppl the chance to not do it on the street and wait and do it ligaly on a pad...

To Chomp, member of the commitee, and/or Stg Tony Anderson from the Edmonton Police, who is 100% behind the burnouts

Why don't you tell that copper to jump on the forum? I tried (not very hard) to get in contact with him a while ago to talk to him about things but yea, got caught up in other things.

what if we took this to the cop shop and asked for them to pass it around. im sure all of them would be supportive.... ill come in with someone if they wanna try it...

and apparently i heard there is a police blitz happening in the next 2 weeks.... just something i heard.... so ppl dont do anything stupid.

i might duck into the cairns branch and drop off a petition and tell them ill come back in a weeks time to pick it up... see how i go. i might drop one at the edmonton station as well and see if i can speek to the officer that has the burnout car and get him to ask the ppl there to sign it. (does anyone know his name??) and ill drop on at autobarn and see what they can do aswell.

His name is in the other "thursday night burnouts" topic. It slips my mind at the moment. Give it a shot I suppose, not gonna hurt anyone.

Chloe
have you spoken to any members of the speedway COMITEE to find out the reason behind them not wanting to open the pad

I will try contact Len to shed some light on the situation

(have a think about what state the grounds were left in last time the pad was open on a thursday this may be a contributing factor )1

i spoke to len vickers about the pad being opened again and the commite was not happy about how untidy the grounds were , there was alchol brought in to the grounds that isnt allowed there was rubbish every where.
but the main reason he said is that they built the pad for burnout comps not for street meets . he said to me if we want to use the pad they will rent it to us for $750 which is crap cause he said it only costs a maximum of $150 to have the lights on for the night and we also will have to pay for insurence and people to run the gate and so on..

i think we can find bolt cutters... how about we all go there as a group and confront them.... and ask them for a real price.

The Policemans name is Tony Anderson. hes the sergeant at Edmonton.

He built the police panel van burnout car. Some would have seen it at Ingham.
He would be the best guy to start with I think. He is one of the main guys behind the regular burnout meets.
Hes the guy I was sms you about sinister a while back. Would be good to have him onside also on the forum to handle any legal related issues that arise.
Built for Cruisin _not Abusin!!!
