First of all I would like to send thanks out to everyone who is supporting our magazine.
We are growing larger and larger with each issue, but only thanks to all the support and encouragement of our readers. As you may know we are only a small company, and it gets hard to make an impression with all the large magazines out there. But I think we are starting to make a good impression throughout the car scene across QLD.
We have had a very busy Christmas and new years, with many events planned for 2011. We have just organised our very first cruise “The Queensland Street Car magazine Cruise For Flood Appeal” which was on Saturday the 5th of February. we had around 150+ cars turn up which was not bad for having only 2 weeks plan the event. This was to help raise money for the Ipswich Flood Appeal. We ended up cruising from Yatala out to Queensland Raceway for a full day of track cruising / racing, show n shine, Monster Energy stunt team, charity auction and much more. Thank you to everyone that attended the morning cruise and event out at Queensland Raceway, hope you managed to make it out to the track & or cruise and had a great day. We will be featuring these two events in one of the next two issues.
Issue 3 is jam packed with awesome content. First up you will notice Brad McCarthy’s 884rwhp Twin Turbo VE Holden on the cover. This car is an engineering marvel, thanks to the team at Hi-Torque Performance on the gold coast for building the tough engine and fitting a huge list of internal and external modifications to the car. Brad has been building this car for a long time and we are proud to be the first magazine to showcase his car to the public. I am sure many of you have even seen his car on many forums over the past year and a bit while it was getting built.
Issue 3 has just gone on sale last Friday the 4th of February at all good newsagents across QLD.
