Its all legal. I dont believe that "No modifications are allowed that require a modification plate" because what about baby seats in say a duel cab Rodeo? That requires a mod plate. Same with a few other things.

I don't like being told what to do, and when some aluminium cased box of gears and friction plates tells me that it's time to change up, I really get pissed off. I will decide when it's time to change gears and sometimes I'm right. So the old smarty-pants automatic transmission isn't my best friend

For those intrested here is the applicabale rules and legislation
No hearsay, no opinions, just the facts

Note the part that says "a modified engine that must be approved". Nothing to stop you putting a baby seat in a duel cab rodeo or similar, but you cant have any mod plated modifications relating to the engine itself.

if the CAI has an open pod they'll pin you for it. Other than that you'll be all good assuming the exhaust is at or below the legal sound limit

Unenclosed pod filters are not illegal in QLD mate, only in the southern states, however it must be adequately secured with a bracket or similar.

I cant be bothered to relocate the legislation on this, but on a side note the vehicle must still comply with ADR83- External Noise

yer i have never been pinned on my pod filter (although they cant really see it unless they burn themselves trying as it is mounted to the snout of the turbo) also the cops up here can be pretty relaxed, i havent been stung on anything bar a blown headlight like 2 years ago, and i have a bov that sits high and proud, a catchcan with a filter on it, and a few other things that they can easy defect me on....

easiest way is to not be a dick when they pull u up and u wont get hassled about anything
