My mates starter motor is starting to play up in his VX SS and hes asked my to have a look at it for him.
Just wondering how big of a job it is and if its worth the trouble? How many cartons to charge him and how long im looking at?
Im fairly mechanically minded and have all the tools ill need and then some and i can easily get a hold of a workshop manual.
Just want some opinions off people that have changed one before?
It has pacemaker headers if that makes any difference
cheers shaun

if you need a workshop manual to change a starter.. you probaly shouldnt be doing it.

also if he's a mate it should be 1 carton but he has to assist with passing tools and consuming said alcohol.

I know how to change a starter motor just wondering if its an easy pull out get at all the bolts job or a pull of exhaust, i click of the ratchet skinned knuckles and swearing job... had a quick look today and it looks like its pretty tight little hole that its stuffed into and its buried underneath a heat shield. And hes a good mate so i was thinking along the lines of a carton of gold.
