Hey guys, we think it's time for another cruise to get some things going in the dead cairns car scene.

Sunday, 15th May. Meeting at the park near the BP at Smithfield, then cruising up to Mareeba for lunch via the Mt Molloy range, then back down Kuranda range.

Meet up about 10.30 at the park for 11.00 kick off.

All makes and models welcome, and we're hoping this will be the start of a few cruises ongoing.

We normally meet up at the Smithfield shopping center northern car park for cruises heading that side of town, plenty of room and can usually all park in a group for photos etc. with no random cars in the way.

Just a suggestion, good luck with the cruise guys, good to see people organizing stuff again!

hey dan we went and had a look tonight, if u cant fit 30 odd cars in that parking area there is issues... there is heaps of space there,

wazz, if u dont like it, u dont and then simple, dont come... pretty easy concept when u think about it... we dont need ur negativity anyways

Fair enough if you havent done the drive before, but for those that have attended the past 11ty odd cruises that have been on the same route its boring in my opinion, as for making effort.. car scene up here is dead and the people that have killed it are those in the car scene themselves, no one else is to blame but them

as for sitting at around doing nothing, good on ya! i got better shit to do than attend a waste of fuel drive over the same cruise route thats been driven f**kloads of times before.

You two won't kiss!!! Haha. Waz, give us some new ideas for a cruise then instead of sitting there criticizing. Any cruise in cairns has been done before given our location so there isn't a lot of choice. Its a good drive, and for those who haven't done it, its even better. The idea is to stimulate the cruising side of the dead car scene, regardless of who's attending. The problem with the car scene up here isn't the people making the effort, it's the people NOT making an effort! The scene has changed since the introduction of hoon and p plate laws, this is a social cruise , where anyone and everyone can come along and spend some time with like minded individuals, no matter what you drive. Time to forget the past and the holier than thou attitude of many in the scene, let's all make the effort to move forward, we'll all benefit!

Keep it short fun and sweet, but lately i couldnt give a f**k about the car scene or the f**kheads in it in this town, the politics of bullshit that goes on is just f**king annoying and well considering i'm almost always out of town when something is on i've completely lost interest in bothering with it weather my car is on the road or not. The majority of the pole smokers in the car scene up here would have been better off as a dirty stain on there parents mattress.

Hey Wazz, you should come on some of my cruise/race/cruises then, i've just got home from a cruise to Rockhampton with a few laps of Benaraby & then a cruise out to Barcaldine for a few more laps on the local airstrip this time & then cruise home.
You or anyone else keen to join me on the next one which will be a short one to Charters Towers for the swap & burnouts???

I am keen on coming for a cruise on the 15th, please confirm the meeting place.

at this point fugly, same as the first post, there is a fair bit of room there for cars, 2 little area's and a nice grass patch in the guts to have a meet and greet first...
