The 2011 Charters Towers Motor Show & Swap Meet is being staged for the 33rd year over the Queens Birthday Weekend, Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th June at the Charters Towers Showgrounds. We're again offering all participating Car Clubs the chance to win the highly contested Best Club Display Award & $500. And again for all entrants who take the time to go to the extra effort with their vehicle presentation they can win theBest Individual Display Award & $250 plus the big one the CHARTERS TOWERS AUTOGLASS ''SUPREME ENTRANT AWARD & $1000. This year we've made some refinements to the motor show categories that will make it fairer across the classes. We've also dropped the camping fee for entrants and swappers as a thank you for your support of our event and we've kept the admission & judging fees the same as last year with the inclusion of concessions for Seniors & Companion card holders. Browns Amusements are back with a bigger and better Kidz Korner, fully licensed Bar, very popular local band Pistol Knights playing Friday night & Sunday, Two Huge Super Cruises, Bill Henderson Observation Rally, Go-to-Whoa, Show'n'Shine and the Biggest Swap Meet in North Qld. Our feature attraction this year is the multi award winning 1935 Blown Ford Coupe elite hot rod of North Queensland's own Rob & Karen Wilkins. This is an absolutely awesome elite show vehicle that has to be seen to be believed. I'm hoping you can all attend and enjoy the long weekend with us.
