NQ PRO Burnouts #3

August 13th, 2011

GATES OPEN 11AM to 10PM
Gate entry: $15 Competitor: $25

The tuffest burnout comp in the north is on again with $10,000 prize pool and this year will see the first Meguiar's Show & Shine!

The NQ PRO BURNOUTS is the tyre smashing event of the north with $10,000 cash up for grabs over the top three places. With this sort of prize pool there will be big cubes, blowers and plenty of methanol! Think you got what it takes to claim a share of the cash prize? Step up on August 13th.

Also this year will be the first Meguiar's Show & Shine. Entry to this will be free and there will be awards up for grabs.

Make sure you don't miss some of the best and toughest cars you'll ever see in North both on show and on the pad on August 13th at the Cairns Speedway!

First place? $7,000. Second place $2,000 and $1,000 for third.

No qualifying, no restrictions, no limits! One skid per PRO competitor.
Bring what you got and hope it's enough!

Gates will swing open at 11AM with practice for the 4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl and ladies class until 2PM. We will then commence heats and finals will follow. Wildcard spots will be available for competitors that have what it takes to step up to the PRO competition from 7PM.

We have a great lineup of cars already confirmed for the show and shine including the street machine of the show at the NQ nats this year Evans stunning 65 mustang, if you have a cool car and want to enter the show please let me know what you have, we want to make sure all classes of car is catered for in the trophy list, but also keep it basic, if you have any suggestions feel free to voice them here or contact Travis or myself regarding the show and shine, Matt can also fill people in, but his attention is mainly on the burnout comp.

Lee.

Anything tough!

I'd say most of the cars from last year are keen to come again. Also got Pete with a 460ci Goggo mobile in TSV, Jason (THEAXE) from Claremont, Amanda Mitchel from Gold Coast and Phil Kerjean (GASSED) from Sydney keen to come on up. Looking like a tough line up of cars so far.

Sorry yes I thought you were talking about the burnouts. The show & Shine is for everyone with a cool car, despite make or model or engine. The show & shine is being run by Travis (Sivart) and Lee (PROTD).

But if I was talking about the burnouts it would not have to be a v6 or v8 to produce a decent burnout

Burnouts run all day. There is a 4cyl (includes rotary), 6cyl, 8 cyl, and ladies class. The qualifying for those classes runs until 2PM. Heats and finals follow until around 6PM. The PRO class runs from 7PM and is open to anyone with a tough car. There is no restrictions, but it must be tough.

Jason Earl from Clermont here AKA "The AXE", we are so looking forward to the trip up to Cairns for this event as we have heard so much about it. Have bought brand new tyres to waste and just have to change the diff gearing after we run at the Nostalgia's in Townsville on the 23rd of July. We ran a PB on the weekend in Mackay with a 10.84 and the car is feeling awesome :headbang: . Can't wait to see the track as I've heard it is bigger than the one for powercruise :PBJ: . See you all there Posted Image

I'm not sure all the smoke pollution is the best thing we need at the moment.

Look it as reducing landfill as when tyres are put to rest on the pad only sidewalls are left :headbang:

More pollution in those batteries than the entire day of skids hahaha.

Need more Holden entrants! Can't have Ford win 3 years running.
