will the drivetrain excluding the diff fitt in a 79 corolla coupe?

Not without custom mounts, tailshaft, sump, converting to hydro clutch, enlarging the trans tunnel, new exhaust etc.

Short answer no, long answer yes but why bother, 18RC's are a tractor engine cunningly disguised in a car
