Hi all. Some of you are probably aware of the blue ralliart under cover police car that's been gettin around for quite a while. Just giving everyone a heads up about the copper or few cops who drive it as they seem to target 'modified' vehicles. One Saturday morning the cop driving it did 2 u-turns trying to get behind me, after seeing me from the other side of the highway, but was unlucky due to too much traffic. He almost drove up a traffic island while he was busy driving past having a look at me. He's also tried following mates on several occasions but ran into the same problem. Thought id let everyone know so you can keep an eye out.

they are pricks, had a fun run in with them one night with them trying to bait me into racing them, with no success cause i knew it was a cop, so then when i pulled over they pulled up behind me and defected the shit outta me,

1: an adr approved steering wheel, that was illegal cause it wasnt adr approved into that exact car.... :s thats a new one to me,
2: tyres (they were very low so no issue with me complaining)
3: my offset number plate because it wasnt perfectly straight on
4: the c pillar brace because it isnt padded 4: my seat belts didnt retract "fast enough"
5: my carbon fibre bonnet scoop (because according to them, ur not allowed ANY carbon, i had a good argue fest over that

and the things i thought they would pick on, the BOV and a venting catch can didnt even get a mention.... pathetic pricks.... getting sick of the power tripping tossers this town now has as cops
The Subaru Impreza is the Automotive equivalent of a decent prostitute.......They perform well, provide a good/thrilling ride but every f*ckers been there and done it already...

I don't like being told what to do, and when some aluminium cased box of gears and friction plates tells me that it's time to change up, I really get pissed off. I will decide when it's time to change gears and sometimes I'm right. So the old smarty-pants automatic transmission isn't my best friend

In all seriousness, what was the sort of attitude the cops had? Clearly they wanted to book you, but were they being smart about it? I've also been told from another current serving police officer, that you are actually allowed to record them (within reason) while they have you pulled over as there is no law that states you can't. As long as the phone/camera that you are using isn't shoved in there face, then it should be a problem.

well some of those rules are up shits if they pulled me up in the evo. number plate is offset from factory and carbon fibre spoiler is factory. And both went through compliance !

Ive been told that full carbon fiber bonnets are illegal as they are too strong and dont break in a crash, but you are aloud a fiberglass/carbon fiber bonnet as they aint as strong

Also spotted a red ralliart lancer pulling some one over

i was told that the carbon fibre bonnets were to strong aswell and that when in a car crash instead of crumpling they snap off at the hinges still in tact so that is understandably dangerous! in saying that they still look sex!

tried pinning sum dickhead for drugs doin security one night, he openly admitted he was manufacturing while he was drunk (mouthing off i guess), took it to cops....they asked if i had his permission at the beginning, i said nup, they said throw it in the bin.....later confirmed its not legit unless they make a further admission on the record or they are aware they are being recorded,......but if it was a cop wanting to pin sumone im sure they could make it stick, poofta's!, most cops agree anyways to being recorded, delt with them from both sides of the law, and most are good, but like everything, u get your smug few lol

as i said...i've been told by a cop who polices in another state that there is no law that says you can't record them as long as they are aware. So i can't see how they could make you stop if you were doing so, as long as you go about it in a responsible manner.

yeh, i know there is no law as such against it, but being able to use it is the big reason for doing it in the first place, always gets them back peddling a bit tho when u tell them you are recording them lol

exactly...although you'd have to be careful to make sure it didn't back fire on you and they end up being harsher on you than what there originally were in the first place
