Gate Costs - No matter what happens at the end of the day the more people that turn up etc the more people the organizers need to employ (yes I know a lot do voluanteer) but in some case you do need to employ people and cover costs like electricty, security, emergency services (ambulance & fire brigade) then there's also insurance and public liability, as I have said in a couple of previous posts in other topics if every one can make an effort to simply clean up after them selves (pick their rubbish etc up) then thats at least one thing the orgainzers/voluanteers don't have to worry about. It's just like any other event at any other venue if they can minimise costs the events will continue so please every one try to help and make an effort in some way or another.

Can't keep up with the boys adding boost to make the grade :(

I think a big stumbling block is the idea of prizemoney.
sure have a big organised meet once every so often when the protds and fuglys can get the "muscle /tough" cars out ,but lets face it. some 18 y/o guy in his near stocko commode is not going to bother participating against them.
Alternate and regular dates are what is needed for "grass roots" burnouts.
No prizemoney... just grass roots fun . should be cheaper.

agreed if its a major comp by all means.. the rubbish thing is always going to be there it people being people it's something that orginisers just have to take into account (i agree totaly with what you say but it just never happens)

at these little "get together" style skids i beleive it should be totally up to the people using the facillity to clean up etc maybe a commitee member should be there just to inspect the grounds and give the nod before anyone leaves on the night and oversee the takings at the gate the rest should be all the responsibility of the group using the grounds

Meeting would be comittee members only I would say, but the burnouts will be at the Edmonton Speedway.
