Hey posted this vehicle a fair while ago when my partner and i first purchased it. It is going through some changes at the moment one being a total motor rebuild.

It is a VS GTS and had a forged 355 Roller motor in it that the blower had failed on before we purchased it(Shithouse STA).

So we put a Vortech V2 T-trim with gilmer drive on and made 479rwhp at 10psi. Unfortunately the injectors were not large enough and maxed out so the full potential was not extracted from that combo. A twin 3" mandrell system was fitted as the 2.5 press bent system was restricting the shit out of it. A very noticeable power increase was felt from the new system.

It was driven like this for the next 6 months untill it dropped a connecting bar on the lifters on the No.8 cylinder which then made its way into the bottom end for a bit of ping pong.

So it sat for a while deciding what to do and it was decided on to pull the motor and go bigger.

So parts were ordered and it is slowly coming back together.

New pistons, rings, 4 bolt mains, custom ground cam, lifters, springs, stainless valves, C.O.M.E twin throttle manifold (hpc coated), bigger injectors, moddified fuel rails, aftermarket ems, MSD coil, Digital 6al-2, billet dizzy, upgraded fuel system, autometer gauges boost, oil pressure, water temp. It will be tuned on pump fuel and also have a tune for E85 for some larger numbers.

And also put a set of 20's on it. The 16's just don't look big enough.

Have also ordered some new number plates for it which are below in the pics.

We are hanging onto them...may get them polished down the track. Nothing beats genuine..except maybe some nice billets.

Manifold back from HPC coating and about 100hrs of me polishing. Bit more to do on the top cap and all done.

4 bolt mains all machined and DC engines are machining up the heads and block. Throwing some Stainless valves in for good measure.
Then assembling the short motor.

Ignition showed up from the states, Digital 6al and coil. Got to love the Aussie dollar at the moment.

Looking forward to hearing it run again. Its been a while.

hey jay before engine goes together do some research on manifold, been reading some bad stories about distribution issues in the intake.
might pay you to put a normal 4150 flange manifold with a big throttle body on it.

Yeah Ricky sounds like a idea. Yeah I heard about this with the C.O.M.E manifolds but it was with the NA motors that this seems to affect. Under boost they should be ok as the manifold should be under a fairly even pressure through out. But this is all what I have heard. Pretty keen to read up on some of these stories tho. Do you have a link or can you let me know where to find some info. I have never heard of a 4150 flange manifold. Who makes these? Cheers.

the reasoning behind it jay is the fact the air hits the back wall off the manifold turns and starts stalling the incoming charge. a 4150 flange manifold is just one they use on vn heads on holden v8's for carbies. you can buy them with injector bosses already drilled. eg. harrop single plane torque-power etc if i was you i would run a harrop single plane and a 4 barrell throttle body for the power your chasing

yeh ok very important that when they dyno it they check air fuels on each cylinder to make sure especially with forced induction
