Hi All,

It's that time of year again... MOvember! To raise money for men's health and cancer, the third (or is it fourth??) annual Cairns MOvember Cruise is on again!

Organised and run by myself and Gav (FNL01 on here)

When: Saturday, 26th November, 2011

Where: Meet at Smithfield Shops (Kmart carpark end)

Where to: Cruising to Tinnaburra up the Kuranda Range

What time: Meet at 9.00 AM for 10:00 AM departure

Why: To raise funds for Prostate Cancer and Men's Health

How Much: $5 minimum per car. The more you donate, the better the prizes you could win.

This year, we're hoping for even bigger and better, so please, invite your friends and family, and lets make this one massive.

Details are as above. It's about an hour and a bit drive to Tinnaburra, then those who are so inclined, onto the Cairns Burnouts at Edmonton Speedway. We'll be heading up the Kuranda Range to Tinnaburra, then back down the Gillies range for anyone who wants to go to the burnouts.

The cost is $5 minimum per car, but please dig deeper than that if possible. Prizes will be given away on the day, and the more you donate, the better the prizes you could win.

BBQ snags and drinks will be available at Tinnaburra. $2 sausages and $1 cans of drink. this is a no alcohol event. Depending on prizes donated, a seperate raffle may also be run for the better prizes, so please bring along some cash for drinks and the raffle.

We are currently organising donations of prizes, however if anyone works for a company that would like to donate prizes, or gift vouchers, or even discount vouchers, please contact us, as the more prizes we have to give away the better. We are also looking for businesses who would be willing to have flyers in their store for the event to give away to customers. Prizes don't need to be car related, we are accepting any and all prize donations.

This year, we are also having prizes for "people's choice" and "organiser's choice" for the best cars on the cruise, so let's get those cars out of the shed's and cruise for a good cause!!

For any further information, or to donate prizes, please contact Nathan on 0411 232 741, or Gav on 0408 343 464, or drop us a line on Facebook.

Come on guys, let's make this one the biggest and best yet. Hope to see everyone there!! If you are a member of a local car club, please let everyone in your club know. If we get decent interest, we may incorporate a "best club display" from now on.

anyone who can't make it, please feel free to donate directly to me via the Movember webiste here: Naze Mobro here
Gav will no doubt list his donation page in a post below.

PLEASE NOTE: NO ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR WILL BE TOLERATED ON THIS CRUISE. IT'S FOR CHARITY, AND ANYONE SEEN BREAKING THE RULES WILL BE REPORTED

cheers,
Nathan.

Pencil me in, scored a double whammy this year but i'll try to make it.

No MO because of the rules about facial hair at ones of the places i work at
Will be getting out of hospital the day before it, ironically for surgery that is in the underwear region, docs reckon i won't want to walk/move for a week

Car may or may not be on the road by then either.

If i'm walking than i will man the bbq or cut up onions or butter bread or something.

Another weekend away donated from Clifton Sands Holiday Apartments. Flyers are ready. I've attached a copy for anyone who would like to help out by putting up in their work or business to promote the event.

Hoping for great weather, and an even greater crowd on the day!

I have sent the Flyer to a couple of the Cairns Car Clubs to see if their members might like to come for the Cruise, some Mustang Club members from Innisfail and Edmonton have told me they are coming.

hey guys, that's great news. I meant to get onto the car clubs and see if they'd be keen to come along, however work has been too stupidly busy thus far to do it. Great news about the mustang guys.

Thanks for the feature wall offer fast dude, much appreciated. Ben, if the Val is running again, you could always drive my MPS up there.. :)

ok everyone, some more local companies have come on board, by donating prizes or services. A big thanks going out to Supercheap Auto Smithfield, Choice Cut Meas, Baker's Delight, Cairns Auto Elec, Carline Mufflers, The Drunken Goat and Smithfield Steering and Suspension. Looks like we have some trophies being donated as well, so we might be having a couple of different categories to give away, so all you guys with hot cars in the shed, don't be shy... bring them out and let's make this a big one!

cheers,
nathan.

Sweet mate, thanks for that... big thanks to Nev with the little red Corolla for organising a bit of stuff through his sponsors.. he's done well. I'll add the passes to the burnouts and the DVD's to the prize list.... I hope the guest list is as big as the prize list... shaping up to be a great day. Hoping for good weather, and a great turnout.

Car still not ready but i'm still keen, last one i went to was port douglas a couple years back, great day and great turn out that time. Car should be ready this week with a wee bit more powaahs now the motor is run in. If the car isn't finished and i'm right to drive i'll find another to drive up. I hope there is a big turnout.

Would it be worth me putting in an ad in the cars section of wednesday's classifieds? i know th bike mobs do when they have cruises on.
