Went and brought myself an 05 BA XR8 ute. 6 speed manual, lowered, exhaust/extractors and some kind of custom intake from the old owner..







Why not?


Ive got no plans for any mods until my XF is done, Apart from painting the wheels silver again or Gunmetal because some of the paint on the front 2 seem to have stripped off.

Ill post a couple more pics when I take some.

not a place of business no. Just an old car group of like minded individuals. there are a lot of us left town, but still a few around who organise cruises etc every now and again. Just a group of mates these days, so you'll see a few stickers getting around.

Umm power fc, bigger turbo, injectors, all the bolt ons basically. 326rwhp and 846nm. If you look look on the YouTube page that videos on there's more of it. And a couple of skids on my YouTube account... Falconxf88.

T518z, and i believe it was on svs's OLD dyno which is now at federation auto

Torque readings from dyno's are pointless to go around stating, so many different varying factors only time they are off any use is during tuning to see where gains are being made and lost. and they are always different dyno to dyno.

yeah that's it... i never asked how much power it made...but 326rwhp and 846nm don't match...846nm from an sr20 with a t518z and bolt on's....i just find it hard to believe. There a good turbo thought don't get me wrong. It's not the first time i've heard high figures from an svs dyno..

I've heard alot of bullshit numbers from all of the dynos around town.. at the end of the day its just a tuning tool. the only numbers that matter are the numbers the cars put out when they actually perform on the black top weather it be in a straight line or around corners.

Yeah Dyno's are a tuning tool, But if someone me asks whats been done to a car im not going to rattle of a list and then be like "Its been on the Dyno, but im not telling you a figure"

haha that's it ben...i watched those vids on you tube..seems to go well...and yer i don't care much for a dyno figure either when at the end of the day it is a method used to tune...but when a figure like that is thrown out there it grabs your attention as it seems pretty far fetched that's all

I thought it was a bit much to, but after driving the car and seeing it getting flogged, it has to be towards that number on full boost.
But at the end of the day, i dont care... Its not my car.

And Tim doesnt care ether, He will happily limiter bash that Deo into a barrier/ wall/gutter.

Its built to slide, skid and chop commodores.

haha yeah personally i think its a bit happy that number but it doesn't really matter at the end of the day..long as it performs well. Has the motor been built or jus a stock bottom end and head?
