hilux altenator needed

need an altenator for a 2.4l DIESEL hilux. Vaccum pump at the back not the front. prefferably would like a good one but even a dodgy one i can strip and test the diode plate and use if its all good will do. Cheers. Jake

WHAT YEAR MODEL AS THEY CHANGE AND WHAT IS A DIODE PLATE AND IS IT IN THE VAC PUMP OR ALTERNATOR

hilux is a 90 but had a motor change so ive got no idea. i think the only change is vacuum pump front or rear, i think the internals are much the same as long as its externally reg'd. diode plates in the altenator. cheers.
